Looks to me like you've been taking lessons from Scott!
Tha's quite a haul, interesting big old cleaver.

Thanks T.F.

...

it is nice to get lucky every once in a while, but I will say Scott is still the Master.

He is the most consistent one I think for stacking up piles of blades

Thanks Dan,

... I don't think I will find a pile that big for a long time... if ever again... and truth be told ...

I don't have anymore room to even fit a 'lill 'ole Case XX peanut in my "knife room"!

Just found this newly released Schatt & Morgan on Frank's Classic. My main attraction was it being etched as a Factory Sample since I have a Factory Sample etched Weed & Co. I love the orange spalted Maple too, definitely different, and who doesn't love English Jacks?

That almost makes me want to get back into English Jacks.

Nice old smooth steel, Dave. Is it marked?
With my antique smooth steels, I always use a trailing stroke. Not willing to jam my edge into a nick or burr, or pitting. The trailing stroke just bounces over those flaws.
Good find!

Found this Imperial Providence R.I. USA Diamond Edge 858DE at an antique store this morning. I believe it’s from the 1960s or 1970s - correct me if I’m wrong. Handles look like wood, but they’re synthetic. Will made a good EDC.

Funny thing, Tim. I saw 858 in your post before the picture loaded, and got all excited. That was Schrade’s designation for their lumberjack jumbo stockman.
Nice knife anyway, that’ll ride good in your pocket.

Knice pick-ups, Tim and Homer!

I have no idea how old the Imperial is, but it'll make a great little carrier. And the Congress is a real looker!

Yea, I wish it were! I admit, I thought I was getting something better than I got, but, what the heck, I only paid $10 for it. It’ll make a nice user.

There’s more than 10 bucks worth of machine work in that thing, Tim. In fact, you couldn’t buy the materials to build it now for 10 bucks.
Great deal.

Went to the local knife store today.
Buck and Case are awards for area mine rescue teams and were bought for the collection. $20 for the Case, $15 for the Buck.
I also sold a beat up Spyderco Harpy to the clerk who wanted it for EDC (I'm ashamed to admit I sold it to him for $20--half what I had in it, as my general rule is to get back what I had in it--but it did need work), and bought the Robin as a replacement.

Nice group! I really like the art on the Wiesbaden tourist knife!
I think the red/white Pepsi knife is, most likely, Colonial, especially if the stamp is just "USA".
