Here's a Miller Bros Cutco Meriden era 1872-1926 clean wellmade lots of snap.

I don't think I've shown this before. I picked it up this summer off eBay. Miller Bro's fob knife. I don't have a clue as to the vintage. A little pocket worn and the blades have some surface rust but other than that, it's in decent condition.

Don't think I have posted this one yet.
It seems like there should have been a handle of some sort for this, but this is the way I got it.

Maybe someone who knows IXLs better than I do can identify this & tell me what it should look like.

Dale, they were sold this way to jewelers, who then put on gold and silver engraved handles.

This one was probably never finished and someone used it as is. A year or two back a box of unfinished ones showed up on fleabay, I was going to bid on them but missed the auction

Oh gosh dogg. I don't think mine is that old. To me it has a '50s - '60s - '70s feel but then what do I know. Nothin'!!

Edit: Well thanks to Miller Bros, now I know something. It really is that old.

Jerry, Miller stopped selling knives around 1926

Jeepers creepers!!! That knife is that old? Wow!! So, I'm hearing you say, if you see a Miller Bros, you can bet your sweet patootie it's no spring chicken. I bought mine off eBay but the guy lives here in town so I was able to meet him to pick it up and save myself the shipping. They don't seem to go for much money for being so old. (or at least mine didn't)

I have an old Kabar bullet end jack with brass handles which I know nothing about. Any info would be much appreciated.

I will add pics when time allows.

True,the metal handle ones sell for very little money. Most of these were skeleton knives that were sold to jewelers who then put on the various engraved handles.

I've known a few electricians in my life and I don't remember any of them being dumb so you're either a total anomaly or you're pulling my leg. I choose to pick the leg pulling choice.

This is a relatively nice Robeson three blade with handles celebrating The Gargoyle Vacuum Oil Co.

It has some tarnish, but the blades look to have never been used.
