Cutty -- I take great delight in seeing those tomahawk choppers going down in flames. It's not the team. It's not the fans. It's not the city they represent. It's that damn tomahawk chop.


Ferg -- Then could ya just squeak out a little "yea" for the Dodgers? Surely a staunch Reds fan like yourself can't bring himself to switch his allegience to the (shudder) American League during the playoffs.

Cubs fired Sveum after two seasons in the cellar. Maybe the Cubs could get Dusty back. I think there's still some toothpicks in the dugout.


My personal opinion. Big bucks and long contracts are detrimental to baseball. Look at the $136M man (Soriano). An eight year contract and he only played hard his last year with the Cubs because he needed to make himself attractive if he wanted to continue playing baseball after his contract expired. Jerk. A lot of them seem to fall apart after they get the big contract.

Teams need managers that will kick a**, take names and is not afraid to sit some big name, big contract player if he's not performing up to snuff.
