All About Pocket Knives

Yesterday we had clear blue skies and the temperature flirted with the 60 degree mark most of the afternoon. Just before sunset some high clouds began sliding in from the west creating a spectacular red and gold sunset. Overnight it began to snow and right now we have a couple of inches of snow on the ground and it's still coming down. It's not supposed to get above freezing again for several days so I'd guess what's falling will lay around a while. Tonight it's supposed to dip down into single digit temps. Ahhhhhhhh winter ! Might as well embrace it.

Yep, same here. 62 yesterday. Today it's nose diving with 40 mph winds, single digits tonight.

No snow in sight and I want some dad blamed snow for a couple days, just a couple though

27 degrees with 5 inches of snow on the ground and still coming down pretty good. Teens tonight. Well, it is January in the mountains. I'll tinker in my shop and watch "Klondike" tonight.

Yep, supposed to get to 8* tonight here, tomorrow up to freezing. Back and forth and back and forth,,,,oh brother.

jUST PLAIN COLD

It has been an absolute rollercoaster here for the past couple of weeks. Twice in as many weeks, we've had 40+ temp changes in less then 24 hours. From 55 to 15 in less then 12 hours! If that weren't enough, we've had several days with wind gusts pushing 50 mph. I've lived in some pretty cold, windy places, but this is the first time I can remember ever being under a "windchill warning"! Seriously?!! A windchill warning?!!
I'm ready for spring!!

2209 and it's -7º F We haven't had this much sub-zero weather in several years.

At 0600 it was 17° with at 20 mph wind. Too cold for duck hunting this morning (slough is frozen solid) OH

-3 degree this morning in southern Ohio, up to 20 today but very windy and cold out. Cold for the next 7 days with Tues morning suppose to be -8.

6 last night here. Tomorrow we will see temps in the 30s maybe. Didn't make it there today tho.

Gee fellers, I thought it was bad 'cause it 38 degrees with a little sleet right at dark this evening .

55 degrees today and sunny. It has been a bit windy along the coast and there are wild fires in the Oregon Coast Range Mountains, unheard of in January! We are really dry out here, if y’all have any extra rain or snow, please send it out to Oregon!

Dale I wish you woulda asked sooner. We had at least an extra foot of rain during 2013. I would have been happy to have sent some of it your way, but sadly,now it's quit raining and there's this white stuff laying all over the ground.

Unseasonably warm here this last week, we set a record high yesterday of 48deg. Weather has been strange lately everywhere it seems.

This winter has been colder than a well diggers hind quarters so far. I can't complain though because I wanted it this way to kill off some skeeters .

It's really not that bad compared to the heat wave in Ak.
