I made something called Taco Soup this evening with Miss Joy supervising. She has made this quick and easy one pot meal for several years. The ingredients are off the shelf or out of the freezer, here's how it went together: Browned about a pound and a half of homemade venison bulk sausage, sautéed a whole sliced onion, a package of frozen sliced bell peppers and a can of sliced mushrooms. To this we added a can of pinto beans, a couple of cans of corn, a large can of diced tomatoes and a small can of Rotel tomatoes, bring all this to a simmer, then add 2 packs of Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix and a pack of taco seasoning. Stir the mess and then bring up the heat and serve with a big dollop of sour cream, some shredded cheese and corn chips and of course a big glass of ice tea
