Doug, OC is a true Craftsman. He does amazing things. And you are headed in that direction.

Whittled out a simple turtle with my GEC pocket carver. This is a great little whittling knife. I will probably have to buy one more. I'm thinking a Farm and Field model when they are available.

Had to put my dog to sleep yesterday. So I needed to do some carving to take my mind off things. I ended up with this. I used both of my favorite carving knives to make it. It looks better than it shows in the picture.

Sorry Doug for your dog. Seems to be a part of owning one. I always did it myself up untill the last two. My wife objected and we're grown up so much around here that there is no convenient place. Oh well, enough of that kind of talk.
Good job on the flower. Your two favorites performed well.

I just picked one up in the black / red micarta. It is beautiful! Much better looking, in hand, than pictures reveal. I agree, it is a great whittling knife...but gotta confess...the two smaller blades look like they could be "used up" by a prolific whittler, with much sharpening. For someone, with your talents, wouldn't be a bad idea to have a "back up". Wait...did that sound enabling?
