Thanks for the review Mark!
Both these look really good. However, the Zambezi is a different kind of knife .. may not be for everyone.
Kind of reminds me of a Pacific Cutlery Sampson, but on a much smaller scale.
Thanks for the review Mark!
I like that one, Tony.Corn Creek Cutlery wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2024 11:53 am Two more new 2024 releases from RoseCraft Blades are available now in my store.

Rick, the swedge is not sharpened. It is a single edge. Thanks for looking!Railsplitter wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 1:16 amI like that one, Tony.Corn Creek Cutlery wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2024 11:53 am Two more new 2024 releases from RoseCraft Blades are available now in my store.

Am I seeing those pictures correctly? Are those double edged blades? The swedge looks like it’s sharpened in both of your pictures.
You're most welcome, Tony, I only wish my reviews had more technical information included in them for members interested in such, there's so much to remember and my memory is on the elevator goin' down not up, so I usually miss a lot of it. Fortunately there are members who do know the information, some from memory, so it gets out there to read in the end anyway.Corn Creek Cutlery wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 12:44 amThanks for the review Mark!

Mark, yes on Jody Samson. Pacific Cutlery and Bali Song were the same, and for only a few years, then they became Benchmade. I have a Jody Samson Pacific Cutlery acquired this year that I haven't posted yet. Some of these knives are marked "Pacific Cutlery Seki Japan" with a pattern number, on one side of the tang, and "Bali Song" on the other side.Madmarco wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 8:15 pmYou're most welcome, Tony, I only wish my reviews had more technical information included in them for members interested in such, there's so much to remember and my memory is on the elevator goin' down not up, so I usually miss a lot of it. The very first time the "Zambezi" model was shown here in pictures along with a few other soon to be released RCB's models, I was one of two people who commented they like it, with plenty of them saying how nice the other knives were, but nothing on the "Zambezi". It was shortly after that I bought mine, and have never stopped liking it's looks, so I guess that makes me one of the everyone. I do have a gut feeling that they'll be more widely accepted after this drop.
I'm going to assume that a "Pacific Cutlery Sampson" is a knife designed by Jody Sampson, but when I search them only bali-songs come up, so I don't know what knife these Zambezi's remind you of looks like. It kindda reminds me of the Parker/Frost 3" "Stubby", but then my ole' eyes aren't much better than my memory.
It is fixed ... no thumb stud. What you are seeing is the etching with a lion and Samson.Madmarco wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 2:12 am Thanks for the information and picture, Tony, it helps a lot. I certainly see the differences between the 2 knives, and also why the Zambezi remind you of the Samson, but other than the same clean flowing lines and the choil they're in 2 different leagues.
I can't tell if I'm seeing a thumb-stud on the Samson, is it fixed or folding? Thx.
Aside from beautiful knives CxIII, you have really clean sharp pictures to show of the best of those knives. Are you using a "box" (photo box with fixed lighting) when you make these pictures?Corn Creek Cutlery wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 1:41 am Here is the comparison photo Mark. There are some similarities in profile, but the Samson PC is an entirely different knife.
The finger choil is the main thing they have in common.
No box ... just out in the open in my garage/upholstery shop/knife store. I do have 8 ft LED strips up instead of fluorescent lights. I take the photos on a Samsung phone, upload to my computer, and edit. Many thanks TopDog!GSPTOPDOG wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2024 8:52 pmAside from beautiful knives CxIII, you have really clean sharp pictures to show of the best of those knives. Well, the system you are using is working! The photos look very professional .... almost as good as Marco's ....
Thanks Mark.
Asking and receiving are 2 different things.QTCut5 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 12:08 am Has Rosecraft become the Chinese GEC? According to this seller the Clinch River is manufactured in the USA
Until I stumbled across this eBay listing today I had no idea these could be "flipped" on the secondary market for so much profit.

That price is obviously ridiculous but to be fair, I only see the seller claiming that it’s a USA design which is the same thing that Rosecraft claims on their website.QTCut5 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 12:08 am Has Rosecraft become the Chinese GEC? Left column: Country/Region of Manufacture BTW--I was only joking about Rosecraft being the "Chinese GEC"...I need to remember that humor doesn't always translate well on a computer. Sorry for any confusion.Railsplitter wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 1:49 am That price is obviously ridiculous but to be fair, I only see the seller claiming that it’s a USA design which is the same thing that Rosecraft claims on their website.
I don’t see any claims of USA manufacture but II’ve been known to look right at something and not see it.
My apologies. I did not see that. Thank you for pointing it out.QTCut5 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 2:22 amLeft column: Country/Region of ManufactureScreenshot (21).pngRailsplitter wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 1:49 am That price is obviously ridiculous but to be fair, I only see the seller claiming that it’s a USA design which is the same thing that Rosecraft claims on their website.
