I haven't seen a clip of that would fit. I only use it for taking pictures and don't really need the second clip or the magnifier exept to counter the weight of the knife.

i came across this yesterday im not sure if its a case or a clauss the knife has a clauss fremont ohio usa blade and a case shield i know that case made clauss knives way back in the day and the handel on the other side is just as pretty and they look like green bone hope i find a few today cause its the last day of the 127 yard sale if i find any ill post a pic of them happy hnuting

If you ever get of a mind to fix it, those alligator clips are real common. If there's an electronic supply warehouse left in Dayton (they're getting as scarce as donut shops), they would have one. Or Radio Shack should have one. Maybe they can even be found at an automotive store?? There's always Google and online sources. Probably cost you 25 cents for the clip and $10 shipping.

If you decide not to replace it, it ain't no thing anyway.

Picked up this Buck 184 with scabbard, compass, firesteel, anchor pins, climbing rope and lanyards. I hope these pictures aren't too big. Haven't seen one with leather lanyards or rope, may have been added by the previous owner? Can't wait til this baby shows up in the mail!

I removed the remaining clip, and it is unusual in that there is no hole for a lug (screw), and it is not made to crimp onto a wire. It looks to have been made specifically for this application. Unless I find an exact replacement I will leave it as found.

i went out yard saling early this morning sence it was the last day i went probely 30 miles from my house i stoped at this little old house and there was a guy probely in his 70s i ask him if he had any old pocket knives he said follow me we went in side and he showed me some that he would sale and a bunch that wasnt foe sale so needless to say but i spent the rest of my money at one stop but i got 8 good ones he was a good old guy he gave me some really good deals im going to post them 2 at a time the first two are remington circle umc usa

these two are parker-frost gunboat canoe the other one is a columbia which i dont know any thing aboutexcept that its made in germany

this is a ec simmons keen kutter and a 1976 casexx canoe

and the last two are a hoffritz i think its a sea hourse whittler and a hen and rooster that the price was so good i couldent pass it up cause of the chip in the handeli think that this years 127 yard sale was the best in years i ended up with 14 nice knives where as i uasually just get 3 or 4 a year cant wait till next year to go hunting again and i still got yard sales through out the summer cant wait to see what everybody else comes up with ive enjoyed seeing all the knives that people has picked up

i have one of those i bought back in the'60's-i build balsa model airplanes, and it is real handy for modeling work. i think i bought it from squadron model supply-don't think they have had them in the catalog since the '70's

This is the second batch from an Ace in Chicago. The Case peanut came in an Old Timer box.
Neither of the two Old Timer knives belong with the three boxes.



I believe the peanut was made in 1996.

Here is another recent find and I just love this knife! G. Butler and Co. 3 and 5/8ths equal end and it has both the "key" and "art" etchings on the blade ricassos and sharp as a razor!. According to Levine the dates on this knife is around 1861-1867 if I`m deciphering his info correctly. Any more details on this Sheffield England Knife maker would be appreciated. These photos are before light cleaning. I`ll post cleaned photos when time allows. Thanks. Bob

Aww yeah baby. That's a beauty. The jigging on those old bone handles is just superb. I don't see anything that good on modern knives.

i agree the jigging on the older knives is alot prittier than on the new ones
