They have had a little bit of a warming trend. A lot of snow and ice has
melted from the trees, but the river is still frozen. Looks like it's going
to stay above zero except Sunday night, -7 degrees.

Another cold rainy day , flooding and mud .

You would have thought we were going into spring.

0 F and snowing heavy here is SW MT this morning, headed up to check on the pigs.

Warmed up to 2 F so far, about 6 inches of soft snow. Two of my Mangaspots stayed out last night and were covered in snow, didnt see them till they moved. Hearty breed.

It was a rough night last night here in Ponder Country and it looks like we are going to get some more of the same tonight.
Tornado and Flash Flooding warnings are out.

First day of spring and we have had a relapse here. Couple of inches of snow, 10 degrees this morning. The old saying in this area is "It snows 3 times on the robins". This is the third time this year, so MAYBE this is the last hurrah for winter.

Still winter here. A couple of inches of snow overnight, 30 mph winds, 25 degrees on Easter Sunday. Its supposed to keep this up most of the day into tonight. Maybe some day..........

Frost warning here tonight which is extremely late for us. Average last frost here is third week of March. So I had to cover about 3/4 of my garden - tomatoes, peppers, beans, squash, melons, etc. Hope it all survives.

Around here the old-timers have always said there will be an Easter frost. Now that I are an old-timer you’d think I’d know better.

Good morning Gent's, a cool 38* wet and foggy, everything greening up here in SWV. Starting on my second cup of Joe this morning. Hope you all have a good and safe day in your neck of the woods.

I pray that all of our members, family and friends are okay this morning. It has been report that overnight at least 26 tornadoes were reported throughout TX, OK, LA and at least 6 deaths. This is a link to a news report.

Well, we've had quite an afternoon! We saw a notice on the weather channel that said a tornado was going east on the south side of I-10 and would be in our town at 3:56. We live about a mile south of I-10 and at 3:51 the power went off and the tornado appears to have moved east along our south property line and gone south east from there. No damage to our house, lots of limbs in the yard but not like the Hurricane Michael. Checked on several families and all were okay, just no power. Got the generator running the TV, computer and fridge and freezers as needed. Will wait til morning to wire a pigtail into my pump disconnect. Maybe the power wont be off too long and hopefully we wont learn of any fatalities or serious injuries. So many people have been devastated in other states by the tornadoes the last few weeks.
We are grateful to have only been on the edge of this tornado. After the high winds stopped it rained so hard you couldn't see across the yard, 2 inches in a very short time!

Thank God above for your safety. We had family friends in Mississippi that went through the tornadoes last week.
Anyway stay safe tonight and hopefully you will get the electricity back soon.

We have such a drizzly day here in Ponder Country, but nothing like what Abilene, TX. had yesterday.

That’s a weird cloud - don’t recall ever seeing anything like that before.

Here it’s been a slow but steady rain since early this morning. No wind, low 70’s temp. Dark, dreary day, but we need the rain.

I remember seeing some like that in South Texas when I was in the control tower at Naval Air Station Kingsville.

Temperature here has dropped to 63 degrees now. Still have a slow, steady, soaking rain.

It was a gorgeous 82° today in Cumberland, couldn't get much better in my opinion.
