Absolutely stunning!!!! Great score!!!GSPTOPDOG wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 2:14 amI-MAN, you "done flung a craving on me" (as my old Cajan buddy from Louisiana used to say), for a Cattleman's knife with your outstanding GEC Cattleman's knife. I waited and kept on looking and I just found this Case XX Cattleman's knife (1920-1940 (some say 1919 - 1945) ) in bone and the blades are super tight (some staining/oxidation, small chips on the spey blade). I really am amzaed how tight the blades are .... I guess I owe it all to you... ... Thanks I-Man After some clean up and sharpening it should be an awesome EDC and or great piece just to hold in my hand.

Posted already in the WW2 knives and relics thread, but thought they might go here too. Sorry if you already saw them, in re-runs already.

Outstanding I-Man No harm in posting these beautiful pieces again
...As for me, I just picked up this Voos folder, it has a very nice quality feel to it. I had no knowledge of Voos, so I went through some AAPK post and Voila' !
Blades are tight with snap.... after all these years. I like this knife very much and I am planning on adding to my EDC as it has been used and "broken in". There is some paint on the bone scales.... maybe some acetone will take that off I don't want to harm the bone .... any advice?

I have a sharpened wood tool that I made from a scrap, qood for picking and groove cleaning, like on bone. I would say try some oil or balistol on it, then the wood pick should do it. Doesn't hurt the bone that I can tell.

Anytime. I learned stuff like that on here. And very nice Voos. I have one just like it. Excellent steel and build. I was told these came out 1940-50s. Held up well. Great bones on yours.GSPTOPDOG wrote: ↑Sun Jun 09, 2024 1:54 amThanks for the tip I-Man

Re: BONES BONES BONES
I appreciate that I-Man, ... I was surprised and the strength of the snap and tight blades for (maybe ) close to an 80-year-old knife.... maybe that is why I have gotten hooks on these old things.....
