All About Pocket Knives

here is one i picked up this morning its a case xx 6318pu 40 to 64 stockman with a punch

Nice pick. I like the older 318's a lot better than the newer ones because they are thinner and a lot more pocket friendly.

here is one that i finally got worked out today its a 10 dot 1970 64052 congress i worked for this knife it has a couple spots on one blade can anyone tell my how to take them off without hurting the knife blades

Oh man--been on a Congress kick last couple years that's a nice one!

Found a Case Buffalo in box and a Case bootknife in box. Didn't even know they made a bootknife.

Like that bootknife only Case boots i ever seen was on the net thow they probably didn't produce all that many.

Try semi-chrome or mothers metal polish____work the spots,with you bare finger/thumb--then work the spots,with more polish using an eraser*** sometimes,this will help____________sometimes to far gone ___good luck

1967redrider....nice knives. ....what year is the boot knife?....I have never seen them packaged that way.

Yeah....I believe they were......they haven't really went up all that much. ..like you think they would have..they're very nice knives.

It's a bit difficult to follow behind FRJ's pics. That's a good looking knife. Now to my ugly duckling. It was only a Buck, and I couldn't read the stamp due to rust. Turns out to be a Winchester , #3925 Whittler. One of the secondary blades is snapped off real short, and of course, the obvious tip missing on the main blade. So the ? is, do I re-profile the tip and make something of a user? This is my first Winchester. I also picked up a 5 bladed Marshall Hdwe. Zenith that is in need of a whole bunch of TLC. It was a dollar also. Bull

If it were mine, I'd grab the old file and make a sharp pointy blade out of it. Then I'd stick it in my pocket. And, by the way, it's hard for a lot of us to follow Joe.

TJ, Bill, Thanks for the input. I believe that's how I'll spend my Saturday, touching up that clip blade and have a workable knife. I just didn't want to commit sacrilege ! Bull

Bull, I agree with others. I'd bring that clip right down to the edge. It seems the sacrilege has been commited and now you get to save it. Nice knife.
By the way, I have a Marshall Hardware Zenith elephant toe. Do you know who made these knives for Marshall Hardware?

Joe, I did do just that, I did! Finished it up a short while ago. I don't think I'll get any calls for blade design of any sort, but it looks like a knife blade now. Took a really nice edge, shaved a nice spot on the top of my hand. I don't have a clue as to who made knives for Marshall Hdwe Joe. I have a couple, including the one I picked up yesterday. Not sure yet what to do with it. One blade has a very lazy spring, and another is snaped in half. The 3 remaining blades are in pretty good shape. Handles need replaced. Oh well, I'll end up doing something with it. Good talkin at ya Joe! Bull
