The Hubertus has some beefy stag! Been wanting one for a long time so I was excited to find it. The Boker was too hard to walk away from, so it came home with me as well 😁
Very nice, Scales, a good day for you for sure. ::tu::

That's always the goal. Alas, I'm woefully behind on my store business. I have these and so many others to list, but I've not been able to dedicate any time to it, life and such. If you see anything that sparks your interest here or any where else I post don't hesitate to ask about it. Ill sell or trade anything that didn't come from a grandfather or friend.

The rigging knife is a semi-serrated Camillus. A 696 i think is the pattern number. The barehead is a Robeson shuredge. The scissors are HSB ovb if anyone digs scissors.

Found Saturday, wondering you all’s opinions. I’m thinking Case 65-69. But I’m not sure. It’s in rough shape but can be carried and used.

I had a chance to stop at a thrift store and look around between jobs today, and picked up this decent Camillus for a good price. I thought it was a #72, but it is an elusive #5!
Then I asked about broken knives, she dug this Chinese Buck mini-trapper out of a scrap bin and gave it to me for free!

Then stopped at a Pawn shop. They had a LOT of damaged knives, but they wanted too much for them. I managed to get them down to half price on this Schrade Walden 225UH that only needs to be cleaned and oiled.

Sorry for the poor pictures, but I snapped them on my truck console, rather than waiting until I got home.

Got this really clean, near mint, Kutmaster 4 blade, camp/multi yesterday. Does anyone know anything about the "T-1" stamp? Thanks. O'.

Congrats, those wood handled 5's are a little on the rare side. Were only made a little while. There were other knives in that series. That one is clean. ::tu::

I am glad that looked around the 72 thread until I found some information on it. I thought that it was an ugly 72 until I saw that "5" on the back of the main. I got it to rehandle, but changed my mind once I discovered that the 5 is a bit rare. I plan on cleaning it with some Case Paste and oiling the joints.
It has been used and sharpened, but is still in great shape. I will probably let it go to someone who collects the 72s. I have a few 72's in bad shape that I can repair and carry.

Here, J.O.', I'll add to your mystery. Here is a Girl Scout knife with a T-2 and what looks like a quail, and a non Scout knife stamped with an O.
Possibly for specific types of blades? That is a total guess though..

The mystery continues:

I had to pull out a few of my Kutmasters that I had handy. They all have a letter there. I vow that I never noticed it before! Top to bottom:
"O" - Stockman w/ carbon clip main.
"N" - Stockman w/ stainless clip main.
"O" - Girl Scout w/ carbon spear main.

So I don't see a common denominator as far as blade material or shape, so perhaps it is a year code?

Scott, I checked EVERY available Camillus catalog that I could.
Every single catalog that had a pattern #5 in it, showed it as
the pattern #5 pictured below.

It appears only in the 2003 catalog, as far as I've heard. Here is a screenshot showing it.
