Thanks TOPDOG! And Congrats on your accomplishment of becoming an Eagle Scout. I have lots of respect for that!GSPTOPDOG wrote: βMon Aug 19, 2024 12:37 amSweet find TMK!toomanyknives wrote: βSun Aug 18, 2024 2:24 pm Just picked up a couple of knives that I didn't know I needed, but I'm glad they found me. I now own two great old Buck BSA knives in mint condition!![]()
As a former Boy Scout and Eagle Scout, that pair brings back some good memories

Will those be showing up in your store? Great find.ThatWeirdKnifeGuy wrote: βMon Aug 19, 2024 5:03 pm Stopped at an estate sale yesterday. Sunday was 50% off.
That's always the goal. Alas, I'm woefully behind on my store business. I have these and so many others to list, but I've not been able to dedicate any time to it, life and such. If you see anything that sparks your interest here or any where else I post don't hesitate to ask about it. Ill sell or trade anything that didn't come from a grandfather or friend.doglegg wrote: βMon Aug 19, 2024 6:16 pmWill those be showing up in your store? Congrats, those wood handled 5's are a little on the rare side. Were only made a little while. There were other knives in that series. That one is clean.Reverand wrote: βWed Aug 28, 2024 7:45 pm I had a chance to stop at a thrift store and look around between jobs today, and picked up this decent Camillus for a good price. I thought it was a #72, but it is an elusive #5!
Then I asked about broken knives, she dug this Chinese Buck mini-trapper out of a scrap bin and gave it to me for free!

Then stopped at a Pawn shop. They had a LOT of damaged knives, but they wanted too much for them. I managed to get them down to half price on this Schrade Walden 225UH that only needs to be cleaned and oiled.

Sorry for the poor pictures, but I snapped them on my truck console, rather than waiting until I got home.
I am glad that looked around the 72 thread until I found some information on it. I thought that it was an ugly 72 until I saw that "5" on the back of the main. I got it to rehandle, but changed my mind once I discovered that the 5 is a bit rare. I plan on cleaning it with some Case Paste and oiling the joints.doglegg wrote: βWed Aug 28, 2024 8:23 pmCongrats, those wood handled 5's are a little on the rare side. Were only made a little while. Here, J.O.', I'll add to your mystery. Here is a Girl Scout knife with a T-2 and what looks like a quail, and a non Scout knife stamped with an O.Ridgegrass wrote: βWed Aug 28, 2024 8:19 pm Got this really clean, near mint, Kutmaster 4 blade, camp/multi yesterday. Does anyone know anything about the "T-1" stamp? Thanks. O'.

Possibly for specific types of blades? That is a total guess though..Kutmaster T-2.jpgKutmaster O.jpg

It appears only in the 2003 catalog, as far as I've heard. Here is a screenshot showing it.New_Windsor_NY wrote: βThu Aug 29, 2024 2:15 amScott, I checked EVERY available Camillus catalog that I could.
Every single catalog that had a pattern #5 in it, showed it as
the pattern #5 pictured below.
