Found today in Gumboro,DE., Fred. Herder & Son. I first thought it was a Hawkbill, but the edge is on the outside curve like a skinner. Aluminum pommel, 3/4 tang, ebony handle. Marked "Don Carlos" makes me think it could be part of a table or kitchen cutlery pattern. Herder has been around since 1623 with the spade mark since 1727. The pattern has a modern, almost Danish look. Any thoughts very welcome, Thanks. J.O'..

Wow, that's one interesting knife, J.O.', and all I can say is it looks like a solid, rough and ready for work fixed blade. That pommel could be used to bonk somebody on the head should the need arise. 
It does have a Scandinavian vibe about it.

Marco, I found an old "conversation" on Blade Forums about the exact knife. 1) The Don Carlos was line of knives between '72 and '84 so that dates it.
2) Some say it's indeed a skinner. 3) Some say it's a "came" knife for cutting channels in the lead strips used in stained glass work. That would explain the disfigured pommel and some guy said his had lead residue on the blade. 4) Some said it's both. (not likely to be designed for two such disparate uses.) Anyway, it is a conversation piece. They are still available for $69.95 and I saw one on line for $110. I paid $10 for it. What fun! J.O'.

Wow Scott, that flea market ought to open their doors as a retail store with items as nice as those, really nice score today.
Your grey folded knife at the bottom-far-right appears to be a Rockwell brand, and if so they sell at Arizona Custom Knives for $200.+ every day, so you might have a gem there, I hope so.

Found this Russell-Green River Works set today. Beautiful, gnarly stag with sterling mounts. Blade is a little scratched but could be polished out or the stag re-purposed for a knife project. I don't want the set and only bought it to save the stag from the trash heap. Interested? PM me. J.O'.

Some fine knives you scored, Tony, congratulations! I'm partial to the "Gunstock" in the set, providing it only has the 1 main blade, like I'm certain it does. 
There's an AAPK store, I believe it's "brotherskeeper", and he has a HUGE collection of Parker and other brands he inherited and is selling, you might find knives of interest to you in there. He has a few of the sets like the one you posted, and they have tempted me many times!

Thanks Mark! Yep, the Gunstock is one blade. I am familiar with B-Keeper, and have looked at his Parkers.
