A buddy at work gifted me these 2 still in packages. I like a Gerber. I sharpened his Gerber Gator for him to use this deer season and he gifted me these two for my sharpening service. He got a nice deer this season and was able to use that Gerber I sharpened for him to unzip him (as Treefarmer says).

Today I ventured into the local Tractor Supply looking for a medium BeneBone for the “fur baby”. Struck out on the search, but did find a ABK&T Roper (composite) turquoise “peanut” wir stainless steel blades. Well the call it a peanut, but it has a clip primary blade and a spey secondary on a peanut frame. Doesn’t that make it a mini trapper? Whichever, it is a pretty little knife with really good fit & finish and walk $ talk. ABK&T website shows MSRP at $21.99. Tractor Supply had it priced at $9.99, but it rang up at $7.99.

Bought a collection today, and found what may be an oddity with this knife.
Believe it is a 51OT Big Timer, but the tang is stamped only "Schrade U.S.A.", nothing else. Solid feeling knife ... too bad someone used the spine as a hammer and scarred the blade with a stone. Anyone seen one tang stamped like this.

EDIT: I also posted this in the My Latest Schrade thread, and another member confirmed that he had one stamped this way also. I had never seen one like this. Certainly was odd/new to me. Learning more about knives is a big part of the hobby.

Took a trip to the High Desert and found this little guy at an antique store recently. The tag on it said it was a Schrade knife, but I don't know if that's accurate or not. Can anyone tell me what this is and approximately how old it is? I'm guessing 1950's-1960's but could be wrong. I believe the markings say "SOLINGEN CUTLERY, B. SVOBODA, GERMANY".

Cheryl and I went antiquing yesterday to a couple of places north of us near the Red River. This little no name fob knife is all I came home with. I didn't want to come home empty handed and I didn't think I had one with a blade with a bottle cap opener. For $5 it was affordable but it was about the only one. I can't believe the prices people are asking for just about anything on the secondary market these days. I'll just have to bide my time till the prices become more reasonable and continue doing my woodburning art.

I bought a vintage lot of 8 knives on ebay. Recieved them in the mail today. Tickled pink. One of them is a near mint Remington pearl gunstock lobster. Great snap on all blades. Unsharpened. Perfect pearl scales. Every so often you find a sleeper.
