If I took a picture, it would look almost exactly like QS’s. We have our first snow storm of this winter season. The ground is almost covered but it’s still warm enough for the pavement and driveway to be melted, holding in at 32F.

Now the guess is 2-4in.. Snowing pretty good at the moment.. Grass covered but the cement is not.. BUT. The salt truck has been by twice so far this am.. The only slippyness is from sliding from all the salt on the roads...

We ended up with about 6in of snow...

Warming to the low 40s next few days then another round of snow is the guess..

Not as cold as yesterday and certainly not as cold as where many of you are.

I've been wondering where all our snow and cold went. It's been nice (relatively speaking) up here in Frostbite Falls Minnesota and we are loving it. We love our snow and cold but are more than willing to share. It's suppose to be up over 30 this week so jackets are optional wear and you can leave your gloves at home.____Dave

Dave I'm glad you are enjoying your current conditions, but there is no need to share the snow and cold with us down here, thank you. I have a screen saver slideshow on my desktop that has very beautiful winter snow pictures, that is as close as I need to get. Merry Christmas my friend.

John,
Do you attribute the panic to the virus or to the impending weather?

Ray.. I think it is a combo of those 2.. We got shut down again last week and the people here in Pa are getting frustrated.. And some a little stupid..

And this is our first major storm in a few yrs ..

John I've never had to deal with the snow, but I have pictures of my brother in Alaska last year clearing the front door area. Also the guy in the lodge next door using his tractor to clear the driveways. Not something I want to do.

Exactly!
It never fails, right after you finish moving all of the snow out of your drivewell the county plow trucks come down the street and leave a small wall of snow and ice at the end of the drive. It’s usually slushy and heavy which means the snowblower won’t work so it has to be shoveled out by hand. We had a lot of snow last year and I had to clear the end of the driveway three times over the course of a couple of days. If you don’t clear it out it freezes overnight and makes it difficult to get your cars out.
Ya gotta love living in the North!
Jeff
