I’ve acquired a large number of Remington knives so I might be considered a “collector”. Here’s an interesting one I was surprised to find out was a Remington.

Congratulations! That is an awesome find, rare and hard to come by. The Remington trademark was allowed use in conjunction with specific market brands such as Purina (and there are several big name brands such as Juicy Fruit, Baby Ruth, Pacific Railroad just to name a few) as giveaways, purchase incentives and other marketing ploys. The Remington brand was synonymous with high standards of quality, reliability and craftsmanship. It was a great selling point!

I’ve been using AI to try to help identify and get more information on specific knives and here is something interesting it said:
“The Remington circle stamp suggests it’s a reproduction made by Camillus under license (1960s–1980s), not a 1920s original”

Yours is original 1924-1933. Made by Remington. AI missed it on this one.

AI is not completely wrong Bradfordguy. It’s referring to the knives made by Camillus in more modern times 1970’s to early 2000’s. They had permission to use Remington’s trademark and were sanctioned to make the “reproduction knives of Remington that were originally from 1920’s to 1940.” As Keith said, From what we can see from your pictures your knife looks original and the tang stamp places it’s production years from 1924-1933.

Here's my latest Remington.
They're well built and designed knives. I read either in Sargent's or Levine's book that all serious pocket knife collections contain a Remington Muskrat.
