From what I read in a Marbles brochure, these knives were made from Schatt and Morgan parts but assembled in Michigan.

You are correct. Mike Stewart only made those in Gladstone one year from S&M parts. The stag are pretty hard to find since they only made 25 in each pattern in stag. The Marbles made in 02 and 03 were made in house by Queen under Dave Shirley. More produced in those last two years but still pretty hard to find and the quality is great.
Nice looking knife. I was probably bidding against you on eBay for that one, sorry.
