Im behind on posting knives here and my mail deliveries. I've had a few interesting finds. After a flea market haul last weekend that earned a grade of F, I found a cool "store" we'll call it. Way off the beaten path, most things were kept outside in the elements. Some in sheds and various camper trailer and trailers. Junk was piled high. The wasps were every where. Tetanus abound, it was glorious. The knife haul I would rate not an F, but a TripleF if you know what I'm saying

Local antique store find. This cigar cutter knife already made an appearance in the mystery knife game. It says Dolphin on the tang. The fob knife and watch combo couldn't be passed on for only 8 bucks.
The Gerber Pixie I found at a pawn shop this weekend. I've already sharpened it and have been carrying it. Its cute---cool. I mean cool. Definitely manly and cool.

I hit a couple flea markets on Sunday. I found these 2 bargains...the ebony jack is a W. Bingham. There's even a bit of etch visible. The other is a 4-line Camillus.

Cha-Ching!!!

I had a Pixie a couple of years ago and traded it off to a Gerber collector ....

apperantly they are one of the more sought-after older Gerbers. He made a sweet deal to get it from me, so I always associate a Pixie with a valuable find!

Picked up a Civivi Baby Banter from Walmart today.
My local knife store never had this one, even though they were a Civivi dealer.
Yeah, me spending $60 on a Chinese knife was strange even by my standards, but I like compact knives that get the job done. It's just over 3 inches closed, with a just over 2.25 blade. But, it handles like a knife an inch longer, while still carrying like a small knife. Also doesn't even weight 2 ounces.
In addition, the quality is getting better and better. Rosecraft was really what changed my opinion.
Supposedly rides on ceramic ball bearings. Thus, it's incredibly smooth. Honestly, feels like an even more expensive knife. Most of my small folders are lockbacks, but liner-locks are quicker to open.
Steel is Nitro-V. I'm not at all well educated on knife steel types (with 75% of mine being basic carbon steels like 1085 and 1095, 420/440 series steels, and the steel Victorinox uses). It supposedly has pretty high toughness and corrosion resistance. In addition, it is known to have a good balance of edge retention while being easy to sharpen (the high hardness of most high-end steels makes them tough to sharpen with my gear).
Includes a really nice zippered (and heavily padded/soft lined) pouch as well. I have a small toolbox (US General mini) on my dresser that holds my EDC knives and tools, so it's really not necessary. The microfiber cloth will see heavy use with my glasses, however. I'm probably going to put an old Robeson with cracked pearl handles in the pouch to protect it. When I have knives I plan to EDC shipped in these pouches, they mostly end up housing old and pretty sentimental knives.

I found a cool book on collectable Lego sets! Only 2 bucks!
Oh, and also a bag full of knives for 5 dollars.
Couldn't tell from outside the case if the red one was an Imperial Matterhorn horn or a Colonial Mountain guide but it didn't matter-horn to me one bit, 5 bones is a nice price for either. Turns out it's Imperial, and the black florist type is a Candco, made it Switzerland. The brass fob is a Hayward. The plating is disintegrating, but it's gold on brass. The one that's down a scale is in nice shape otherwise, an old Kent with a Turkish clip blade.

That's a good haul for $5!
