That's the idea Mitch! Daughter graduates in May from college and then takes her exam for her PT license in the Summer. Sooo between paying for rent, food and gas for her,,,,maybe after that I can spend all the rest for knives,,,whatever rest that would be! ::skeptic:: I'd like to kill the guy that came up with that whole college idea! :x

Snow today, hanging around through tomorrow and 64 by Sunday.
N. Georgia weather is really hit or miss. That's why I like to get some snow here. It's pretty and fun for a day or so (5-6 days maxxxx) then it's gone baby gone.

OK. You yanks will get a real hoot out of this.

We here in Georgia, received around 2-3 inches yesterday. The snow started at around noon. As of last night the Governor had to issue a state of emergency. Thousands of people were stuck on the roads for an average of 7 hours trying to make their trip home from work that should have taken an hour or less. Others (hundreds) are STILL trying to make it home, still hundreds of others abandoned their cars on the highways and just started walking.

A friend of mine left his home around 1pm and drove 5 miles to the walmart. It took him 7 hours to make the trip back home. Luckily I live farther out in the country where people move a little slower and have truck loads of common sense. No problems at all for me but I stayed close to home. Slow and steady wins the snow race.

I will add that there was ZERO pretreating of the roads by the counties before and impossible after the grid lock started.

It has been like 1-2 million monkeys and one football, if you get my drift. ::smirk::

Edit just to add a bit more info.
All city, county and gov't employees, private businesses and schools were all let go at approx. the exact same time. So no pretreat and a few million people on the road trying to get home, all at the same time. Even on a clear and dry day, if the same thing were to happen, there would still be major traffic and gridlock. Just add snow and untreated roads and what you have is a HUGE CLUSTER.................! ::facepalm::
