I've never seen an Ulster BS knife with that type shield........very nice.

The US was the largest consumer of English pocket knives and other cutlery for decades. There are more over there than over here in all probability.

Not officially, it is a utility knife.

here is my new one i picked up yesterday evening its a hen&rooster coffin with a spear blade and nice stag handels i also have a couple gec in the mail they should be here next week ill post pics when they come in

Very nice knife bigdaddy, the coffin jack is one of my favorite patterns by H&R.

could you tell me when it was made i was told from 60 to 70 but not sure

Any H&R with a poultry shield (like yours)was made after 1980. The pattern was designed during the C.Bertram era of H&R and later modified by A.G. Russell in the late 70's. This knife came in two sizes ,2 7/8 and 3 5/8 i believe.

this came in the mail this morning it aint a knife its a old new york knife co warranted pocket knife page from a 1899 hibbard spencer bartlett & co catalog back then a four blade congress with stag handels was only $16.00 per dozen and one 2 3/4" with pearl handels was $19.20 per dozen and one 3 1/8" with pearl was $24.00 per dozen wouldent that be nice

I found these two last Saturday in a lumber yard in Sonora, Texas on our way to the caverns.
I wish the Kershaw was American made but it's a lot of fun to flick open. The Case already has
some patina. Next time we pass through I'll pick up the Carl Schliepper stag stockman and maybe a
Boker.

-I picked up this old "the ideal" knife at a yard sale recently....had a little carbon peppering which cleaned up pretty good. They were cheapie knives made back in the mid 1900`s but this one still has nice blades and tight "shell handles" and surprisingly sharpened right up. I kinda like it for what it is.

i was looking around and found this one it looks almost like yours but i think that the main blade is a little different and ya there alright little knives got half stop and walk and talk good not bad for a cheap knife for the age

I got this Cattaraugus today. It's a real sweet knife.
I wonder if it was made before 1960. I wanted to put it in Miller Bros. thread. Cattaraugus folded in 1963. Can't show it off enough.

That is a great Catt. I like the 3" L.S. Starrett ruler too. Those aren't easy to find.

That's a real pistol Joe. What would you call that little lady? Senator? Pen knife? It looks a lot like a Camillus #41. Love that bone. No wonder you keep wanting to show it off.
