I see what you mean, it actually looks like the one to the left that has Germany-Alemania at he the bottom that says it's used on reproduction knives also. The tree has fewer limbs like your knife. Just looking at that knife, it reminds me of some I've seen from the late 80's and 90's.
Yes the tree is kinda different also. But it’s like that on all the tortoise shell handle ones I seen. Thank you for your help.

I went a little crazy at an "antique flea market" over the weekend ::facepalm:: ... trying to build up again from what was stolen out of my collection when my house was burglarized a while back. Not really any great deals out there. A few fair prices and a couple that I paid more than I really wanted to pay for them... ::doh:: ... oh well ... ::paranoid:: can you really have "Too Many Knives" .... ::paranoid:: .... ::shrug::

You just never know where or when you're going to receive a knife.
Today I had a service tech here to get the ole heater ready for the season. A nice young man he was impressed with all the
woodburning art I had hanging in the garage and the knives I've been working on. Before he left he said he might have a CASE
knife in his truck if I wanted it. He certainly did, a MIB 2024 CASE Red Bone Smooth Mini Trapper (6207 SS) that was given to
him and he never used it. I couldn't believe he was giving it to me so I gave him the pick of any woodburning I had hanging
there. He picked one of Santa flying across some mountains and trees for his wife. You just never know.... :D

I apologize for the poor pictures, but this is taken on the desk of my motel room.
I am out of state, and dropped by a Thrift store after work. They had a badly outgassed Toothpick with a price of $20 (nope!), and then this little Stockman.
I thought it was a Western by the blade shape, but imagine my surprise when I discovered it was a Winchester!
I will try to find the correct blade for it and see of I can't bring it back into action!
I do like the diamond shield.

Im having a prolonged dry spell. The offerings on the AAPK stores are leaving me cold, nuthin at the fleas or antique type shops, gun shows are a dry hole.. Find a few on the bay but asking prrices are laeving me to pass by. Im resorting to customs from Buck and Matt McAlevy. Gotta get down to GEC one o these days.

That is a knife designed by Elmer Keith who was a gun writer. The knife was provided with a subscription to “Guns and Ammo” magazine. There were several variations and also variations in the sheath. Heavy duty knife. Good find for sure.

Couple stag got in today.
German eye mini congress & Bulldog stockman. The pile side stamp on the bulldog is odd compared to all others I have and what I’ve seen. Has anyone with more knowledge seen one or know anything about it ? Normal fighting dog tang stamps on all 3 blades as well as the normal pit Bull etch like on a couple of my first gen’s.

::oh_my:: Sweet!!! ::tu:: ::tu:: . I don't a lot about the history of the B.D.s but I love finding them and owning them. It seems like my older ones have dates stamped on the tang on at least one of the blades.
