Thanks a lot R.K.J.Rockingkj wrote: ↑Thu Nov 13, 2025 3:47 pmThat is a knife designed by Elmer Keith who was a gun writer. The knife was provided with a subscription to “Guns and Ammo” magazine. There were several variations and also variations in the sheath. Heavy duty knife. Good find for sure.GSPTOPDOG wrote: ↑Tue Nov 04, 2025 9:32 pmYou nailed it CxIIICorn Creek Cutlery wrote: ↑Mon Nov 03, 2025 8:57 pm
Me thinks I see a Japan fixed blade in the bottom of the 5th photo.

No dates on this one. All others I have say “ bulldog brand on same line. Then Solingen Germany. Just thought this pile stamp was odd. Was told it was a first gen but idk. I’m not up to par on bulldogsGSPTOPDOG wrote: ↑Fri Nov 14, 2025 12:52 amDansword wrote: ↑Thu Nov 13, 2025 8:05 pm Couple stag got in today.
German eye mini congress & Bulldog stockman. The pile side stamp on the bulldog is odd compared to all others I have and what I’ve seen. Has anyone with more knowledge seen one or know anything about it ? Normal fighting dog tang stamps on all 3 blades as well as the normal pit Bull etch like on a couple of my first gen’s.Sweet!!!

. I don't a lot about the history of the B.D.s but I love finding them and owning them. It seems like my older ones have dates stamped on the tang on at least one of the blades.

You spot on with 60’s-70’s. Designed by Gil Hibben. Made in Seki Japan.GSPTOPDOG wrote: ↑Fri Nov 14, 2025 12:55 amThanks a lot R.K.J.Do you know what year abouts? I would guess the 60's or 70's

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
Picked this one up today. A Camillus 72, Short Line tang stamp, Bone handle, Carpenters Whittler. It is a gen 1, where the pen blade is next to the main clip with the coping blade on the left side. Blades do have wear & stains, but are tight with good snap. The Camillus on the tang stamp of the main clip blade is worn, but you can see it and the short line is distinguishable. Bone handles still have good color. Proud to have another addition to my Gen 1 72's.
