4. Linoleum knife made by Harrington and Son Cutlery. This is the first Cutlery company in the United States. That son in the name is Dexter, he eventually had a product line and eventually company named after him.
5. Blue Steel fixed blade knife. Seems like a fairly low quality fixed blade but in nice condition. Couldn't find much on the brand, searches for Blue steel turns up pages of blue-painted zombie-killing gas-station karambits.

Thanks fellas. It's flea market and garage sale season now and I couldn't be happier about it. Fishing in the bay is fine. It gets me through the winter. But it's nothing like finding rusty gold out in the wild.

The company changed names to Village Blacksmith after they moved to Watertown from Milwaukee. Before the move they called themselves Washington Cutlery Co. There's a thread about them here:

I was looking at getting this knife but in purple and just one for my wife's upcoming birthday. It was 30ish dollars. I spied these combo packs on an end cap the other day when I was at Fleet Farm. The Orange was 16 but all the other colors were 12 for some odd reason. I bought myself the orange and my 5 year old used his own hard earned earned money to buy the blue. It made my day, I was happier that he wanted a set than I was to buy one for myself. I didn't actually get one for my wife, got something quite a bit nicer coming in the mail.

When we were checking out, my wife saw the little wood handled one. It's a sheepsfoot and I thought the emblem looked cool on the wood. She gave me that look though that said "really? This one too?" (Only playfully of course). I said "well i need that one to open these ones"

I did in fact use it to open the orange pack. The China made knife took a roll to the edge the size of China. I thought it was hilarious. The Bear and Son packaging is more durable than the Chinese knife. Had to show the group. Also realized after I got home that the emblem on the one I grabbed is upside down

Cant even put that on a shelf.

The Bear and Sons knives are great

Just 440 in them, but no performance issues with them yet. They're made in the USA. Light, pocketable, sharp, snappy but with a pull light enough for my 5 year old. I was so pleased I went back and got the other colors.

I kind of regret giving my little version of that Bear away. May get the two pack to replace it.

That Fleet Farm lambsfoot looks suspiciously like a single-blade version of my Holex/Hoffman that's hawkbill/sheepsfoot-wire stripper. But, the steel in that knife held up better than yours (even though it isn't stellar--I already had to touch up both blades). However, I can see these as becoming a "I don't care about losing it" knife at $4 a piece.

A friend found this little bird and trout knife in a deceased friends belongings when cleaning up his things. It is stamped with the makers name and address which is in out neighborhood. Never heard. Of him tho.

In an effort to be ready to sell at Webster and upcoming knife shows I did some shopping....
Now it's time to get rid since the next knife show isn't until July (if we go).

The lady at the antique mall looked at me like she thought I might need help finding my way home.

When she fetched this out from a glass case from a vendors booth at an antique mall, she handed it to me so that I could look at it. I said that's ok, I'll take it. I'm done shopping, we can head to the checkout.

Don't you want to see the knife before you buy it?

I don't much care what knife is inside it

Got it home though, and it turns out the knife inside is marked Keen Kutter, not Village Blacksmith. A friend of mine called this style of work knife an insulation knife

Presumably for cutting big pieces of insulation...into littler ones

Like I said, I bought it for the cardboard
