Here's a Silver Stardust Kirinite 10207 Mini-T I used to own. Mini-T Monkey was furious when I sold it and I couldn't find another one for sale so I picked up a Silver Stardust Teardrop 101028 to replace it The Monkey is easily distracted by shiny, sparkly things

Another DIEM, another dollar.....or, in this case, a Dollar Knife Co Mini Trapper by Schatt & Morgan. Built on the Queen #51 frame, I like the unusual color of the jigged bone on this one as well as the clever way they made a dollar symbol out of the letters "S" and "M" in the blade etch.

Great Mini Trappers, Q, and thanks for the kind words. I know there are a lot of collectors who don’t like any man-made materials, no matter what it is. I like the Kirinite, though, and have several.

I used to be one of those collectors who disliked and avoided anything other than natural handle materials. But, I have since come to like some synthetics such as Micarta, GEC acrylic and Case Kirinite. I think my aversion to synthetic handles started with Delrin, of which I have never been a fan. And while I know there are some members here who are quite fond of it (treefarmer & bighomer ), I have never really liked Queen's Winterbottom Delrin in particular. Now, Genuine Winterbottom Bone is a horse of different color....that I really like

While I'm on the subject of Winterbottom Bone, my Mini TrapPER DIEM today has the nicest version IMHO. Although this knife is a factory sample single blade #51 that never made it into production so it does not have the expected Q-DB tang stamp, it does have the distinctive bone and small federal shield that is found on the Queen/Dan Burke collaboration Winterbottom Bone series.

This is the 2-blade version of the Queen/Dan Burke Winterbottom Bone #51 with the Q-DB tang stamp. Note the Muskrat clip blade instead of a regular clip like the factory sample single blade #51 has.

Today’s Mini TrapPER DIEM is a 1980 limited edition Queen #9155 which is the smaller 3 3/8” version. I love the awesome Stag handle scales and the cool bear trap blade etch Serial number 208 stamped on the pile side tang of the Clip blade.

Might have to change the title of this thread to “The Mini TrapPER SEPTIMANAM” if I can’t post a daily Mini Trapper like I could in my Mini-T heyday

I really enjoyed collecting Mini Trappers because they’re my ideal size (3½"), they come in a great variety of handle options and they’re not outrageously expensive ….well, they didn’t use to be, anyway. Like everything else, I suppose, even the cost of the humble Mini-T has increased quite a bit lately especially for Stag, which is becoming increasingly scarce as well.

Don’t find nice gnarly stag like this Hen & Rooster 312DS very much anymore (the “DS” stands for “deer stag”)

Aside from its obvious positive attributes: nice bone, Wharn secondary, and uber cool 'star' bolster stamp, I'm guessing that sweet little Mini-T probably holds special significance to you, bigh, for being branded US Army.
