Caleb, over on Gun Nuts Media, has written a number of articles on the SR9c. He seems pleased. I have one other handgun cartridge carbine combo. (Notwithstanding the MecTech 1911 conversion). I don't use them at all as I truly prefer the .41 round.

Did you ever do the anti-bounce/bind modification on the Marlin? My first (as shown) was gained after a coworker at TTU sold it to me out of frustration with the jamming problem. PS I also had, but foolishly let a friend talk me into selling it, a .357 version of the Timberwolf. Bummer.

Here is another interesting piece:

I trained forensic folks in law enforcement (local, state, federal and international) for many years in the use of lasers, maintenance, and the attendant chemistry pertinent to their wavelengths of instrumentation. I also collected patches from them.

There was this one guy from Hong Kong who attended one of our center's workshops. I asked him for a patch and was told they had no patches. Several weeks later I got an envelope with what must have been a million yen worth of stamps with a cloisonne plaque in it.

Interestingly, the gunshop/range I invested in had just acquired a few S&W model 10 M&P tradeins, one of which I glommed onto due to the markings. This was just prior to getting the gift from the HK cop.

Shortly after that, the gun and the gift, Hong Kong reverted from a British Commonwealth to a Chinese protectorate.

This is just an awesome bit of history that I am proud to have!

Hong Kong was a fun place in '72.

I read somewhere that they knocked down the infamous "walled city" of Kowloon. I saw it from a distance while I was there, but I didn't try to go there as it was reportedly a BAD place for round eyes that didn't have an inside track.

Thanks Joe, I do have the 32 but the ammo is just getting so hard to find up here and the hammer spring broke on it.

I picked up this 9 round mag for my .380 Keltec now with one in the chamber that give me 10 rounds, not bad for this size handgun. I wish they made it in my gun color

This is a Grendel .380 I am very fond of. I bought it used maybe 15 years ago It had knocked around in an Arizona rancher's toolbox. This is the P12 model. It looks like another model the P10 which was interesting because it didn't have a detachable magazine. You loaded it from the top like the Mauser Broomhandle. The 10 only lasted 4 years, 88 to 91.

I see the name Grendel from time to time associated with some high speed rifles and ammo but I don't think they make pistols any longer. The thing about my P12 is that I have seriously tried to induce a jam or failure to fire and it has never done so. Limp wristing, firing it upside down, whatever. She keeps performing. And accuracy is surprisingly good at reasonable distances.

The first pistol I bought, I was 18 years old. It was a Llama .380. I sold it less than a year after I got out for some D.A. reason. Replaced it a few years ago. It's a fine little weapon. Looks like a downsize 1911 Colt .45. Comes apart the same too.

Old Goat that is indeed a wonderful piece of history. Congratulations. It may not be possible but if you could find a revolver that could be established as having been sold to or used by the Hong Kong police, well the collector value IMO would be off the charts.
Be that as it may, you have a fine set.

QS -- You don't think the RHCP stamp on the back strap on that revolver is enough provenance? I suppose that could be faked but...

I suppose. Documentation which included the serial number would be more iron clad.

My brain too frequently experiences electrical circuit problems. I didn't pick up on the fact that the markings were RHCP. Definitely the RHCP markings are impressive. If some additional authentication could be found that would be all to the good. Could the factory help based on the serial number? Would cost a few dollars but well worth it. Regardless, it is a great find.

If I could only have one pistol, this HK "squeeze cocker" would be it. I can't offer higher praise short of writing several pages.

I've led a sheltered life. Never seen a "squeeze cocker" before. That's a nifty little piece.
