Thanks for your input. Does the rounded end of letters indicate engraving? It doesn't look "cold stamped" to me. The spacing could be because of the method of photo taking, but you may be 100% correct.

The rounded letters indicate use of a modern stamp.Old stamps were hand cut and the ends of the letters were square.

There seems to be a lot of self anointed Facebook knife experts. Most have never left the comfort of their recliners.The best way to learn about knives is to get out and handle all you can.Feel how they work, compare to known examples etc.Also buy a couple books and do some research.

This is another Jack Knife Ben made by Napanoch. Prove me wrong!

Recently, this pocket knife arrived in a very large group or lot of pocket knives that I bought. This pocket knife now becomes my most recent example to be posted under this topic or thread. I did NOT buy the group or lot to obtain this particular pocket knife. But, as it turned out, this pocket knife is definitely a keeper and will be added to my general pocket knife collection. It is an Ulery, one blade, one tang stamp, 3 7/8" closed, pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says "Ulery (over) NEW YORK USA" This pocket knife is the main component in the pattern or model No. 602, tool kit. The tools that came with it are AWOL. Overall, this pocket knife is in VERY GOOD condition. It did need a bit of cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is. Picture #9 is of the tang stamp (much more legible) on the only other Ulery pocket knife that I have. Picture #10 is from my NAPANOCH catalog and it shows the complete, No. 602, Ulery tool kit.

Found the top portion of a Napanoch box , it's a little rough, but the pattern #8001 is for a tool kit knife.

Cool to have both the bone and wood handled sets. Do your tools interchange between the two handles. I have had both the wood and bone handles and my wood handled took a thicker tang? Wonder if it had to do with manufactured date. Harold

Those are two really nice sets. I like the guard on the hacksaw blade. Been on the look out for one. Most sets do not have them. Can you tell me if it is steel or aluminum? Harold asks an interesting question. Your two sets look like they might be interchangeable. Here is a pic of two sets marked Honk Falls on the blade. The patent dates are the same, 07 on the other tools but clearly two different locking mechanisms. I have to go back and look in the catalog and see how they are pictures. I think the Ulery kits were different from the Naps. Thanks for posting. The original box is killer. I have yet to see a Nap or Honk Falls box other than the tool kits. My guess is they used the envelopes that were common back in the day.

I have this same Napanoch Bottle Pattern shown here in this advertisement you've shared, it is one of my favorite knives I've ever owned ~ still has its original button fob chain that was purchased with it that they would attach to a vest, trousers, or coat pocket ~ it's perfection ~ love it
