Re: First cup!
Why, yes indeed, it would be! I graduatd from here a long time ago and then was fortunate enough to get a job here a few years back ... it is pretty cool to go to "work" every day and have it feel like homecoming!
Well, my book ... which one should I talk about? Like most English teachers, I think I can write just as well as some of the authors they have me teaching, so I have a bunch of stories in my head that my sons are pressuring me to let OUT of my head!
My favorite is my Old West novel, featuring a big ranch, Indians and cowboys, horses and six-shooters, saloon girls and a friendly school ma'arm!

Good morning, finishing the Keurig cup now (Tully's this morning); hear the wife stirring downstairs, so I can go down and put the big pot on now! Hope you gents enjoy the day.

Up and at 'em. Just digging into a bowl of cereal. Our ten day forecast calls for temperatures in the 90s for the foreseeable future. That's unusual for this part of the country and especially for this time of year. Thank God for air conditioning.

Re: First cup!
I skipped the coffee this morning because I had a fairly early doctor appointment, and I suspected I would have to pee in a cup.
THAT WAS A HUGE MISTAKE! I have had a no-coffee headache and a case of the grumps all day. And the doctor was more than an hour late. And it finally dawned on me: why do I give a $#!+ if the doctor finds coffee in my urinalysis??

Re: First cup!
Welcome to a new week gents. Sunday was a great day in the Midwest. The Cubs beat the Houston Astros for a three game sweep and I raided eBay for a bone handled Camillus 72 and a Montgomery Wards Powr-Kraft, made by Camillus. This particular one is not a Camillus 72 but a Camillus 80. The 80 is a Deluxe 72 model with NS pins and liners and jimping on the liners. I'm beginning to believe the 80 was only made for a short period in the 60s. I have a Camillus 80 but I've never seen one with the Powr-Kraft stamp.
I hope y'all have a good week. Stay cool. This heat wave is supposed to keep temperatures in the 90s through Saturday so it's going to be a HOT 4th of July.

Re: First cup!
Can I join in here. I'm as bad addicted to my coffee as I am pocketknives and shotguns. Up awful late today. Me and the big boys stayed up pretty late last night after church watering the garden so we slept in. I'm a teacher so my summer schedule gets all messed up.
The faithful ol Bunn just finished up with a half a put of extra strong, hot black perfection. To top it all off it's thundering outside. Man we need rain bad. Have a great morning guys

If I could I would. It ain't rained yet, but I'm hopeful. The tobacco is dying up in the field, the corn is rolling up, and even that blamed ol Bermuda grass is drying up and getting brown.

Two cups of "Pecan Sticky Bun" from the local bean roaster and grinder, and a pleasant viewing of Lonesome Dove, Part I, "Leaving."
The heat is only in the mid 90's here today, but the humidity is up there around 70%. I'm a'sweatin' like a sinner in church!

Sippin and checking the forums for spam and such. Got a long day of driving ahead of me today. Some days I'll drive 300 miles or more on my job. This could end up being one of those days. (At least I'll get to rest up tomorrow.)
Have a good one.
