Here's my contribution to this thread. I've had this since the mid 80's. I remember that because I bought it in Mexico and smuggled it back across the border in my shoe, LOL.

That had to be uncomfortable...but worth it!

This is the oddest Imperial Mexico associated tang stamp I have. One blade has a crown & cross with a deep RANCHERO etch and the other blade is simply stamped FOREIGN. I think they were trying to come up with something that could work universally. You could export to any country with the knife telling everyone it was from somewhere else. I don't know...It's the only one I've ever seen and it comes from the sample room in Providence.

Just when I thought that I had seen all the America-Mexico related
cutlery, you post these two ringers. ::tu:: ::tu::
Are there any other surprises?
FANTASTIC acquisitions Jason!

A week ago I didn't know about either of these knives. I wouldn't be surprised if more patterns and stamps pop up.

Here are ALL of the "Imperial Mexico" pocket knives that I have, so far, that are posted under this topic or thread.
It is time for some group pictures. Also posted, are the tang stamps that are represented by these pocket knives.
The majority of these are "PASTOR ALEMAN" stamped. Since today is the 5th of May or "Cinco de Mayo", in keeping
with the theme of this topic or thread, I decided that today would be an appropriate day to post these.
Captions, if any, are on the BOTTOM of the corresponding picture(s).

It has been quite some time now since I added a piece of cutlery to this topic or thread and to my collection. This afternoon, I added this pocket knife to this topic or thread and to my collection. It is an IMPERIAL MEXICO, single blade, single tang stamp, 1 1/2" closed (not including the bail), pocket knife. It is in EXCELLENT condition. It didn't need to be cleaned. I took some pictures (I do apologize for the quality or lack of) and here it is.
Caption(s), if any, are on the BOTTOM of the corresponding picture(s).

***** NOTE (Better Pictures) *****
The small, miniature, tiny little pocket knife pictured, is identical to a previously posted pocket knife.
It is the very first IMPERIAL MEXICO pocket knife that I obtained and posted under this topic or thread.

Here's something I haven't seen before - a NOS Cumosa! The outer bag was torn open by the seller so he could get some pics but the two plastic bags inside containing the parts haven't been opened. This looks like it could have been manufactured yesterday - it's flawless. I'm going to stick it in the back of the safe and try to forget about it because I'm having a really tough time not tearing it open and putting it together.

Congratulations!

Thanks Skip ::tu:: I thought you might like this one. I think these kits were mainly sold in the 70s, maybe even into the early 80s. Wouldn't it be great if there were automatic kits like this one available via mail order today?
