Got this Nolichucky Jack as a gift from knifeaddict1965. It's a "2nd" and on the bottom of the box someone wrote "minor scratches" but I'm having a hard time finding any. At first, I thought it had a crack in the mark side handle, but it's not a crack...just a line in the bone apparently (I think it adds character!)
This is a really nice knife. I must say I am impressed with it and also with my other Rosecraft knife: a French Broad with Rosewood handle that Ivoryman gave me. They're both very well made knives that feel great in the hand.
Q, IvoryMan and Knifeaddict have fixed you up knifely ... Good peoples as yourself also!
Got this Nolichucky Jack from Corn Creek Cutlery (AKA; CxIII, & "Tony"). Well, it is Beautiful! I want to thank CxIII for running an outstanding store and always sending a gorgeous knife my way.

Many thanks CxIII

I must admit I am quite impressed with these 2 Rose Craft knives I received today from James and co. I was prepared to evaluate them and then give them away as gifts if they were as I anticipated. However these no brass knives have beautiful stag, D2 steel, strong snap both ways, solid half stops. Run up is as solid as any.

So, you're gonna keep them and stiff a couple friends out of their gifts, huh, Rick?

Just teasing, buddy, I saw an opening...!

Those are 2 special folders that you'll enjoy for a long time, I hope they treat you well!

After reading all the posts about RoseCraft knives I thought I would buy one. The Castorea caught my eye

So, I purchased 3 of them 1 for me and 2 for gifts. I have to say it is a large knife for pocket carry. It will be perfect for a farm work and mechanical work cutting hoses and lines. Heavy duty

I am going to take off the pocket clip and put the knife in a sheath.

If you use that knife daily in your work then I think we would all like to hear from
you 12 months from now as to how that knife held up. Many of us have been very
impressed by the look and feel of RoseCraft blades but how it preforms over time
is still in question for me. Good luck....
BTW I now have 16 RoseCraft knives but I'm just a collector.

I will give an update on how it holds up. If I was still working every day, I could really put it through some hard tests. hmm:: But I still use a knife every day for small farm work stray bale twine or working on equipment coolant hoses or air lines etcetera. So, ::

it will get a workout.

Great knife, huh, Nev? I got my copy from Tony awhile back, and it's everything you say it is!
You might now be hooked on Rosecraft knives, buddy, and there are plenty more models that will leave you drooling!
P.S. - I also removed the clip!

I second that request. I would like to hear how well it holds an edge and how well it takes one. The other thing I would like to know is how prone to rust are they given the all steel construction.

Will do Red. I did not think about the rust on an all-steel knife. dang:: Now I am interested to see if it rusts.

Except for the blades Rosecraft describes all the steel parts as stainless. The chromium content of D2, as made in the USA, is only 1
-2% shy of meeting the definition of stainless steel depending on whose defination you like and the specific alloy.

I've been carrying this knife for about a year. I use it in the barn, cutting seed potatoes, and other garden uses. It seems to hold up quite well.
