The owner of the property was afraid of a fire spreading so he had the trees thinned out. before that it was pretty thick with trees, very shady....

Nice skull shots, Topdog. I am guessing the Doghead Kabar is a hint as to the species.
Quick Steel - that is a very cool, very effectively photographed knife. In that configuration it reminds me of a push dagger.
Jtx - that is a nice photo.
Alan - Gneiss background for that Moki.

That is a very beautiful Knife!! (Drik? A sgian dubh (/ ˌskiːən ˈduː / skee-ən-DOO?) Beautiful stag handle!!

actually, the skull belongs to the rare Arizona Desert Sea Lion, which migrates from the
Sea of Cortez* up the Colorado river and then across the sand dunes near Yuma, AZ.
*Possibly soon to be renamed
"The Sea of America"
