#14 was not part of the Indian stag line, but the color of the handle is similar to the 70s (in addition, I would like to see a stamp).
Normally, Vit is spot on when it comes to Camillus knives. I'm sorry to say that is not the case in this instance. The 14's did have Indian Stag handles.
Indian Stag was introduced in 1973-1974 on mostly the stockman. It doesn't show up on 14s that I could find in any of the catalogs but as you can readly see on this long line, It does exist.
I can't agree with you, Jerry. I was not talking about the type of the handle texture, but about a separate knives line called "Indian Stag."
Otherwise, these knives could also be called Indian Stag.

All Indian Stag knives are shown here (except #88).

And I was just talking about the handles. Sometimes confusion abounds.

We understood each other, though not immediately.

Picked up this minty Camillus Yellow Jacket, marked 7 on pile side of tang, I think it's a 711 pattern. I was surprised at how well it was made, nice knife.

I did start hunting for Camillus when I decided I was going to accumulate. I do like this one and wanted others. Antique stores and flea markets around here are devoid of decent knives, and I don't do eBay, never have, never will. Couldn't find a dealer for them, but I did find plenty of dealers for Case. After getting my first Case, I decided I preferred bone and natural scales over synthetic scales. Certainly not tossing this one because of that, nor will I pass on a synthetic if it catches my eye and the price is right (and I have the $$).
So, I haven't stopped, just sitting idle, waiting for the light tochange
