Snowing already in Cumberland, but just raining and around 40° here in Alexandria.

We are getting about same eastern Iowa … but not quite that cold

1°, 1/2" snow and the wind is howling.

It was 44 degrees and calm here at 8 AM. It's now 24 degrees with 18 mph NNW wind. Supposed to be around 7 degrees by tomorrow morning.

Not terribly cold at the moment in Grant County Indiana but it's supposed to get that way with a bunch of snow coming, I hate winter!

In Ponder, TX it is currently 16 degrees with a 28 mph NW wind and a windchill of -3.
We have small amounts of snow flurries but nothing is sticking to the ground.

Got a bad one heading this way. Looks like the temp is going to drop from around 40 to minus 10 degrees over night with up to 6 inches of snow, and of course, high winds. Sure hope we don’t lose our power like we have so many times before. I have a whole house generator just for this reason, but the cost of LP to run it for week is going to astronomical. Burns through 500 gallons in a week. That’s expensive at the price fuel is right now. Keeping our fingers crossed. Hope everyone else in path of this thing will get along well.

Temperature has dropped to 13 degrees here, the wind is vicious!

The Bride and I went to the local Deli for lunch today and the temp was 55º when we went in and 33º when we came out.

And were you dressed for the drop in temperature or did you just make a mad dash for the car?

I thought about doing some work in the garage, it usually stays warm. I opened the door and immediately closed it, no way my space heater was going to warm that up today.

Both, sort of! It has dropped on down to 27º now.

Too cold for doing anything except what I'm doing right this moment, on the computer doing knife inventory and catching up on some correspondence.

It’s 9 degrees F here with 20 mph north wind, gusting to 35 mph. About to slip on the insulated coveralls and make the rounds checking on the critters. Put out hay for cows this afternoon, there’s water still running in the creek. Sky is clear so it’s gonna get colder tonight!

Just realized there was a college football bowl game plated tonight - in Fort Worth! The Armed Forces Bowl, Air Force vs Baylor, played at 45,000 seat Amon Carter Stadium on the TCU campus. At kick off it was 13 degrees F with a 20 mph wind! From the television view it appears there’s not much of a crowd.

Here I am at 11:30 PM and it's 9* with a 20 mph wind out of the NNW. The wind chill is minus 7 (-7)
According to the 48 hour forecast it's not suppose to get above freezing until after 2 PM on Saturday
and that is only for a few hours then in drops again. What does the Farmer's Almanac say about our
winter this year?
