Mike I'm glad someone got some rain. As I was leaving church around 7:30 I saw some rain back to the west and north of us and I got just enough drops on my windshield for the wiper sensor to kick in one time. Nothing forecasted for today.

I've been "enjoying" thunder and lightning. A bolt looked like it struck right outside my front yard. Scared the dickens out of poor Bluegrass, too.

Hope any and all of you AAPKers in Florida in the path of the coming storm are ready or evacuated. I was just watching one of the weather channels and they had some video of the stores in cities in the path of the storm and most people in the store had carts full of bottled water and toilet paper. I guess they are ready.

We have been getting off and on sprinkles for the last two days, today seems to be starting out the same.

Only 51 degrees as of this post, and looks like the sun is rising in a clear sky. Shouldn't get past 75 today.

Picked the green tomatoes from the garden - they’ll have to ripen indoors. Low tonight forecast to be 32° F. ::woot:: That’s about three or four weeks earlier than usual here. We usually get our first freeze around Thanksgiving but occasionally we have had ripe fresh-picked garden tomatoes with Christmas dinner.

The lawn and patio are white and it looks to be hanging around for a while. Lows in the teens in a day or two._____Dave

Some of of the best tomatoes I remember ripened in Mom's kitchen window.

Snowed enough over the weekend to get the ground white, still hanging around in the shady places. Chance of a bit more tonight. With a cold NW wind.

It was around 84° at 1:00 today. After this past week I'm ready for cooler weather, including the white stuff. ☃️

Cold and snowy here on the Northern Plains, expected to snow all day here. Many people from Eastern South Dakota will be stranded trying to get home from Frisco Texas where they spent the day yesterday watching the South Dakota State University Jackrabbits win the NCAA FCS Football National title by beating Montana. Snow is over a wide area here with almost all schools closed today.

49° currently, and windy. Weather guessers say high temp today supposed to be upper 50s. Started to rain before I finished outdoor rounds. I was filling the chicken house waterer when I heard rain hitting the metal roof. It didn’t last long, but supposed to have intermittent rain all day. Winds up to 40 mph. ::woot::

Well starting to snow. Predicting 8-12” and 25-30 mph winds. Trapped at home with wife. Supplies running low. She talks of admiring the fortitude of the Donner party. What does that mean?
