So when does late night end and early morning begin? Asking for a friend.
If you are still up its late night, if you just got out of bed it’s early morning. Simple as that. The actual time on the clock doesn’t matter one bit.
One morning I came in way to late. Sat at the kitchen table to take my boots OFF. My mom walked in and said “How come you are up so early?”
I made like I was putting my boots ON and said. “I’m going fishing”. Lol.
You can see it at the 24 hour breakfast places. Half partiers from the night before crashing the other half workers or sportsman starting their day.

Do head calls in the middle of the night & then you have trouble getting back to sleep count as late night or early morning?

Good cover! You can always catch some zzz's under a Willow tree by the stream.

Jerry that qualifies as early morning. You were asleep and woke up early to hit the head. One thing about having to get up in the middle of the night for a head call. As much as it stinks, its better than sleeping through a head call and waking up wet!
RedRider I recall that's exactly what I did. Threw out a line with no bait and took a nap on the bank.

If I’m drinking coffee it’s morning.
If I’m drinking bourbon it’s night.

Cubs lost. White Sox won in 13 innings. It's creeping up on midnight so I probably should get my raggedy old rear in the rack. Later gator.

I’m still up. Recovering from surgery last week. I’m past the point that I want to sleep 24 hrs a day.
I’m at the point were I don’t do enough to be tired enough to sleep. Still need to take it easy and rest, but getting stir crazy. Lol.
I’m just thankful that they can fix me up. My life without surgeries would have been grim.
2 hernia surgeries one as an infant the other at 20. Tonsillectomy, both carpal tunnel, both rotator cuff repaired, and now gallbladder removal.
How did they get by years ago?
Good night everyone.

Hope I don’t jinks myself but I’ve been fortunate in the health/surgery/accident area. No major of any kind. Not like I’ve lived a sheltered life either, fast cars, a lot alcohol fueled bad decisions.
You all take care of yourselves!

Bourbon on the rocks here. Had a nice visit with daughter number two tonight. Coughed up the money for taxes and tags for two vehicles today. (That sucks) I'm just grateful to be able to afford to keep the government afloat. We had five trees and two huge shrubs removed and the stumps ground out yesterday, and I'm thankful for being able to get that large project completed. More to follow.

Ahh, A man after my own heart.
Hit the rack at 2230 & a head call @ 0400 has me up. I think I'll crawl back in the rack and try for another 40 winks.

Been a good 4th of July. Been over at moms with family. Got the garlic pulled and hung up to cure. Even watched some TV which is something I seldom do. Headed to the bunk to turn in. Later folks

Hello Lodgers! I hope all of you had a great 4th of July!
Spent it family and friends. No fireworks as the heat gets to some people and fireworks were out of our budget. So it was hot dogs, potato salad, an Italian dressing noodle dish, American Flag pull apart cupcakes and pop. Followed by two movies, God's Not Dead 1 & 2.
Gonna unwind on the net and hit the sack.
Y'all have a peaceful and blessed night!

It's 0100 so I guess it's time to pack it in. At least the continuing celebrations are far enough away to make them tolerable. G"night y'all.

I suppose I could post in this thread, since I always stroll through
AAPK while on my 1am lunch break ....
Been a fairly peaceful night thus far. Avoiding a certain coworker because I fixed
a machine of his that's been down since Sat afternoon, and won't tell him what I did !
