Just got done with the snowblower. 11 inches here in SF, now 13 degrees here and sunny.

O.C., wish you’d keep that stuff up north. Supposed to be on its way here soon. High tomorrow forecast to be 53° before a massive cold front hits around noon. Then we’re in for plummeting temperatures and possible freezing precipitation - maybe 1/4 inch of ice by Monday morning. Temperatures in 6° to 8°F range, wind chills below zero. Nothing special for you Yankees but it’s a big deal here.

Means you know who will be out chopping ice off the water troughs. brrrrrr!

Yes, for your neck of the woods that is cold. I was in Amarillo several years ago in January and the night we were there it got down to 8 degrees. The next morning at the motel there were many diesel trucks and pickups that would not start. We got 3 inches of snow last night to total 14 inches for the week. We were lucky last night to only get 3 inches, south and east of us got more.

Wind chills this weekend are supposed to get down to 35 below. At least the actual temperature won't be that low so we can stay out of the wind and enjoy 10 below. With strong wind and some snow coming down, it's not a good idea to stay anywhere outside too long that isn't indoors.____Dave

It was a gorgeous day here in Alexandria an hour ago, now it's blowing snow.

Winter here in Hawaii looks slightly different than it does on the mainland. Although, TBH, winter looks about the same as every other season around here, the only difference is the average daily temperature.

Here's the view from Captain Cook which is approx. 1200' above sea level - 68 deg. F this morning

This is Kealakekua Bay (where I live) at sea level - 75 deg. F this morning

0 and snowing in Eastern OK today - wife is loving it, we are from the north country.

It was 62 degrees here yesterday afternoon at 2:30. It’s now 10 degrees.

This weekend I attended the Nebr Muzzleloaders Convention at Kearney Ne. I had tables at the Trade Show. I live roughly 30 miles east of Kearney. Escaped home Thursday as I knew that with the storm predicted I would not get out Friday morning. Returned home Sunday afternoon. Had a 1/2 mile of this sort of road at my place thanks to 8-11” and 30-40 mph winds. Farmer plowed road, County’s road maintainer had not been out yet. Oh and -15 to -20 actual temp to go with the snow. Kearney did not get but 4” of snow. My wife was less than pleased I left her home with out help to attend the Convention. Received this text weather report from her Saturday morning “it’s -18 in he%#”.

A light snow but the first that has stayed on the ground. 9 degrees.

Currently four degrees at 9 AM, weather station says it was three degrees earlier. It got up to eight degrees yesterday.

Nice pictures! And Q, those look awesome! But I don't think I would like not having a change of seasons.


We got some dust on crust overnight. Yesterday afternoon vs. this morning.

Light dusting of snow and ice. Overcast, 6 degrees, north wind. Wind chill -4.

Our main snow is supposed to start at 1:00 and snow through tomorrow.

2:15 p.m. 11 deg. Rather heavy snow.
