Show Us Your Camillus Knives!

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

Just got this one in the mail today.
Camillus #7 Cam-Loc with "Adventurer B.S.A." etched on the blade.
In all my years I have never seen one and I was a Life Scout back in
the 60's which I believe is the era this one came from. It's like new,
I don't see any blemishes anywhere on it. It came from one of our own.

Senior Chief, you probably didn't see it because that Cam-Loc didn't come out until 1976. I don't think it lasted very long because I don't think it was very popular. Vit can probably give you better info on it.

Thanks Jerry! I guess that would have been towards the tail end of them using that tang stamp. By that time I was not a Boy Scout, but an E5 in the Navy getting ready for a West-Pac cruise.

It is BSA #1372 knife
In 1980, someone at BSA decided all official knives should have ivory color handles. It ended in 1982.
