Cool pics, John, you are certainly in a scenic area. A couple of days ago my wife came home from a little shopping, and was telling me about some "weird" looking train that she saw. She told me, "I was going to stop and take a picture for you.........but I didn't". So, I don't know what she saw.

Btw, I was checking TCM's upcoming schedule. Beginning at 5 am cdt this Friday the 20th, they are showing 9 consecutive movies which take place aboard a train, always interesting to me to see rail travel from differingtime spans depicted.

I saw that TCM lineup, Ike, I got excited. And then didn't see Emperor of the North listed. Still hoping that some channel will aire it sometime.

Hay Y’all some great Big Boy pics. She will be rolling thru my neck o the woods in Oct. I plan on taking a couple days to shoot photos. Chasing the train in a car is tuff because lots of people have the same idea. I’m gonna scout out a couple photo locations and let her come to me. Really nice Santa Fe money clip BTW.

Pictures are not much at all today,
Being there was very cool raining pretty hard and the rain is just boiling off boiler so a big white cloud and then the black smoke coming out of the stack. I just took a ride out in hopes that the Frisco would be running and it was.
On 10/5 they have steam into fall day and picture night. I think they will have Frisco out and hopefully the shey not sure which one that is.

I had a great time today tooling around Cumberland with the Great TPK! We visited Western Maryland Station and caught a CSX mixed manifest waiting at the Narrows just west of Cumberland. Hit a bunch of antique shops too after lunch at Curtis' and then the hobby shop where I picked up some cheap Lionel rolling stock.

These are I my car, let's see if I can remember . . . Great Northern trailer flatcar, NYC Pacemaker boxcar, a Marx Nickel Plate Road caboose, and I was gifted a Marx Reading caboose. I think there was another boxcar too . . .

As John already stated, we finally got to meet in person. He picked me up at mom's house, showed me around all the little tourist attractions, took me out for lunch, Bombed me with 4 beautiful knives & some knife stickers, (I'll post them as soon as mom gives me another day off.) took me up to see his home place (Farm) & then drove me past my old Jr. High School on the way back to mom's. It was a wonderful time & so cool hanging out with someone from the AAPK. Thanks for the wonderful time John. Definitely the Highlight of this visit and got my mind off of mom's health condition for the day.

I had an excellent time, Tom, including the ATV riding. Glad you liked my little Cumberland tour. If we had more time, I wanted to take you up to Frostburg and Deep Creek Lake. Next time!

Some older U.P. power on the move.

I picked this book up when the wife and I were in Frostburg, MD, a few months ago. Lots of cool pictures and railroad history. Tom and I saw this book again at a Cumberland bookstore when he was visiting a few weeks ago.

Thursday drove to Abilene, Kansas to wait on the Big Boy
Unfortunately, it was four hours late so this is my best shot of the day after sunset with the moon rising. Even though I was disappointed that the train was running late. This shot actually turned out kind of neat.
