Yes they do Mike, I'm tryin to think but I don't think Hammer ever really named these different handle designs, other than to call them, in the written material I have seen, various beautiful celluloid handle designs.

Yes indeed Perry, I have seen that catalog before, just scrolled through it again though, some fantastic stuff in there !! Talk about vintage, outstanding. I recognize some of your displays too, very cool! Have you ever seen any of the "Military Pocket Knives" that are advertised in there? With the logo's of the different branches on the handles? One of those in the USMC version would definitely be a holy grail find for alot of people...myself included! The "Patriotic Pocket Knives" look quite unique also, haven't seen any of those around either....

Mike those are very difficult to find, that being said, I was told I would never find the cards I have now either. It's all about the huntin! Keep your eyes peeled, you never know when a USMC/Military knife might show up on ebay, etsy or rubylane! I believe JoeDirt has some of the Military shells, however I think he needs a Marine one as well. If you have access to Flea Markets, pawn shops and the like, check them out. You never know.

Take the shell handle knives with a grain of salt in the '36 and '37 catalogs folks.
You can see the copy write dates at the bottom of the cards in BOTH catalogs.
I see the dates; 1939, 1940, and 1942 on some of the cards. The prices are off
a bit also.

Your right about the military insignia knives... HARD TO FIND!

That's a sweet solid construction knife you have, Mike! Haven't seen another quite
like it in that color before!!! NICE!!!

Imperial made solid construction knives on the shell frames from the "X" sleeve stamp
all the way through the "post war" U.S.A. stamp. Some even have a texture on the handle!

Very true Joe! All of my cards are in there and mine are 1939, 1940 and 48'

Certainly no later than 1942. The military knives list one for the "United States Air Corps" and the Army Air Corps existed under that name from 1926-1941 or '42.

Pretty neat old catalog, and I learned something from it. Those knives we have been calling "Magic Knives, Magician's Knife and Trick Knife" Hammer/Imperial call them "The Automatic Jiffy Jack Master". Pretty cool!! Thanks for sharing that catalog. Very nice knife Mike

The Job is going very well, I love being there and I like what I do.
It takes a lot of my time away though and the free time I have is devoted to my family, so my AAPK lifestyle has taken the biggest hit.

I miss you guys, but it looks like you are all doing very well.
