Re: Movies I've Watched Several Times and Will Watch Again
You never see Bob Hope’s Lemon Drop Kid, which is a shame since it centers around Christmas. My wife gave me a DVD of it since it’s never shown on TV. I can’t figure why it seems to be a banned movie, I suppose it’s the cultural insensitivity of the Silver Bells scene that has earned it a ban? Who knows, but if you get a chance to watch it, do, you will get a good laugh.

Not an old movie and I’ve only seen it once, but I’ll definitely watch it again. We went to see A Complete Unknown at the theater, and took our 19 year old grandson with us. We all enjoyed it. My wife (who is not a Bib Dylan fan) said it’s one of the best movies she’s ever seen. They did an amazing recreation of atmosphere, politics, and events (Viet Nam, Cold War, assassinations, civil rights unrest, etc) that were the backdrop for the early 1960s culture. And telling the story of Dylan’s early career and rise to fame - now I understand the backstory of many of his songs. The actors portraying Dylan, Baez, Seager, Cash and others were excellent.
Whether you’re a fan of Bob Dylan or not you will learn (and many of us will remember) a lot. I’d like to see it again.
