I really like this smaller size, very tempted to carry this one, of course my wife says I say that about almost every knife I get.
Nice DIW on your 55! ::tu::

Thank you gentlemen. I like that it doesn’t have brass bolsters too. I don’t buy many knives with brass bolsters and Buck has put out quite a few with nickel silver bolsters so I have been collecting those.

Ahhh, a kindred spirit. Even though I have some, I too am not fond of brass bolsters.

They are okay if you don’t mind cleaning the corrosion off every few months, even with Ren Wax on them.

Just received these two.
The 102 looks unused,I’m happy with both.
Seems like a good size for an every day small fixed blade.

Just received these from KLJ77. Oh Momma, they are fine. Both new in the box and with leather sheath. To lazy to take my own pictures so I stole his.

This ‘94 110.
I haven’t had one in the newer handle shape before and I liked the look of the wood and the different style pouch.
It has a bit of movement in the pivot but I’ll see if notice it much in use. Took a lot to get it sharp though.

This Buck 503 Prince came in the mail today. Wow, that was fast as I just ordered it last Thursday.

The knife features Mammoth teeth and ivory, polished nickel bolsters on one end, polished 420 HC steel, and was made apparently by one craftsman. It is 1 of 80.

Fit and finish are generally very nice, except there is a gap between the scale and the side of the knife at the end opposite the bolster. It has either a black filler underneath or that is just polishing compound in the gap. My concern is will that gap weaken the ivory and snao or crack the scale.

I thought about sending it back, but with such limited numbers made, I suspect it may be a case of accept it or refund, and I really like the knife.

I collect Buck Fixed Blades and 300 Series mostly, but recently have found the older Alpha Hunters interesting. Good looking knives ... smooth and easy to open/close. A good fit for my large hands. Pictured is a 2002 277 and a 2003 276. I have one more 277 from the last year of production.

SWEET knives!

What is the purpose of the "S" curve on the flap of the sheath?

I will take a pic and put it up in a few minutes of the knife in the sheath. Think that will explain.

Railsplitter, I believe it is in the sheath correctly. I know it draws best to my hand for opening the knife this way. Thanks!!
