Very unusual Hammer! ::tu::

I really like the mill work on the liners of that 80 Jerry! ::nod::
Camillus seemed to do that more often than any other company.

That is a beauty Joe! It's not too worn for me. The master looks darn near full length, just sharpened a few times.

Thanks Bret, you're right. This knife has a long way to go. It can still sharpen many a pencil.

I posted this one over in the Boker forum too, but it definitely fits in here to, as it was a definite "knife find" in my eyes! Even though the blades are worn, they are all rock solid with excellent snap, and I really really like the handles and shield. I think it's a classy lookin' old knife. Best I can tell it dates from between 1945-1965.
Especially qualifying it as a "knife find" is that I was the only one that bid on this one and I scored it for .99cents!

These are my latest two finds

Case Tony Bose 546 - very cool well made knife, the handles are sweet and its just very well made top to bottom.

GEC 68 White owl - Very dissapointed in this knife, its the second one that I bought. The first was a Buffalo horn and the handle was cracked and it also had a miss drilled pin hole.

The White owl cost more than the Bose too!

Back home now after spending most of the week in Charlotte. I've already posted the old Buck 301 I bought down in the Buck section; here is the Canal Street Doctor's Knife I bought the same day. This is my first Canal Street knife and I believe it is an exceptionally well made knife.

Are you into the Doc's Colonel, or did you just buy that one because you didn't have a Canal Street? Looks great. Notice how good it feels in the hand?

Jerry, I visited with Red Trout in Charlotte and he has several Canal Street knives for sale and I wanted to own a CS. I picked this one for several reasons; it was smaller than the others and I lean towards medium size pocket knives - it had jigged bone handles, most of the others had Old Barn Chestnut - I like bone better, and finally Red Trout made me a terrific deal on that knife. Thanks for the compliments.

Thanks Colonel. I just wondered because I have a soft spot in my heart for the Doc's and thought maybe I had found a "Doctor knife soul mate".
