Floyd , thank you my friend. Thanks for the info on the 12 , knew they didn’t make many . You said one year , it does have steel liners, so end of WW2 or year after makes sense . Still would like to know more about the 3 blade 4 line, but do believe it’s Army Air Corp like we mentioned earlier.
You take care down there.
Hope your weekend is been enjoyable

Received these 4 Camillus earlier today. Worked out a fair deal, the knives have been cleaned, buffed some. They’re all tight, no flaws on handles ,blades have been used a bit on a couple . Overall happy with these. The 3 blade, steel bolster, 4 line maybe the WW2 Army Air Corp piece. Any feedback on that would be great, the shield had something on it but can’t tell if USA was there or not,and did Camillus put this particular shield on this knife for the Air Corp??
Hope you all are enjoying your weekend
Take care
Good Lookers for sure. Beautiful bone on the first couple and nice looking Barlows. Congrats on some nice additions to your collection.

JP I was thinking I had a 12 as well. Here are a couple of pics. Mine is one of the no line tang stamps ones used very early after the war. And a few of the Air Corp for comparison. I really think yours is.

Here is what I am carrying today. I posted some of the photos on the EDC thread but I am putting the rest on this thread, as it Camillus specific and I think this is a good thread with great post. Looking at some of the Camillus knives being posted got me looking through my old knife boxes and pulling out some of them and getting a few back in my pockets, on my belt and back to work! Today I have a 72, a 14 and a 41.

Smitty ,thanks man
Was definitely a decent deal ,and agree with you on the bone! I think Camillus had the best looking jigging and color for many years. And it gets better looking with use, it is my favorite for sure.
Thanks again , take care .

Morning folks.
Some neat Camillus stuff being shown .
Received my first 72 short line WITHOUT shield . Don’t know if it’s me or just don’t see many short lines without shields?
This one from the bay had a little rust ,which I removed most of it . One spring has slight pitting. This one was listed buy it now 10.50 US dollars. That didn’t take long to hit buy now .

Morning.....
NICE "72" JP!
I really do like the black handles.

Out of the 37, CAMILLUS 72's that I have, only one has no shield (by design).
It too is a short-line and has black handles. It is already posted in the "72" thread.
I don't consider it strange or that big of a deal.

Seems that I remember something about a Boy Scout model that had not shield but did have a blade etch. But memory isn't to be trusted by me. JP I don't know if I have any with out a shield or not. I may have to dig them out and look. Knice pick up.

Shoot man. As much as I love the 72 pattern, anytime any of us find one in good shape, I think it's a big deal.

But that's just me.
