Re: Red Bones
Here's another old thread that is in need of some new life...there are some fine knives on these pages, let's add to it! Here are three of my red bone Case...three different eras represented. A XX era 62087, a USA era 6308, and a 70's era 8 dot 6235 1/2....all reds but each one a little different in coloring and in jigging.

Re: Red Bones
Here are a couple of 6294's with Red bone. One of them is a Tested XX which is unusual in Red, plus it is stamped with the pattern number.

Re: Red Bones
Jerry, you're right - don't see many Tested knives in red bone. And thanks for posting both knives. Good example of differences in blade grinds (swedges, shapes) and pulls, etc. from the Tested to XX era knives. Both great knives.RalphAlsip wrote:Here are a couple of 6294's with Red bone. Re: Red Bones
Great red bones Gents! Here are a couple of brothers to some that have been posted.
Interestingly, besides a couple of Congress transitions as I recall, none of the books show red bone knives made in USA era. This CASE XX USA 6111-1/2L No model stamp factory error begs to differ. Red bone in USA era may not be in the books but they sure as hell were made, in my opinion.
