Got this one today from an EBay seller for $22.50.
I’ve never had a bamboo handled razor before.

That New Science Concave is a great shaving razor. I have two, once I got an edge on them and took 'em for a spin around my face, I was really surprised. They shave like an older "heavy grind" razor without the weight of the the old ones. Blade is stiff. I like 'em and they are in my rotation. I don't know if any were ever made but I'd like to find a 7/8 in that grind just for fun. Both of mine are 5/8s. In fact most all of the Robesons that I've seen are 5/8's.
Charlie, one of my New Science Concaves has the "bamboo" scale in black.

Heck of a collection, Charlie! Congrats on putting it together!
I found this one last week at a flea market in SE Kansas. No blade etch as near as I can tell, but it does have a nice bit of file work and tooling along the spine. A light stropping and it'd be ready to go. Number on back is 1605.
This is the box it was in from the flea market. I have no reason to believe it's original to the razor, but did find the KOKEN "
Barbers's" Co. logo kind of an odd spelling.(or misspelling?)

That's a pretty handle and I think that a lot of razor collectors collect the handles more so than the branded blade.
I have seen that material in a rather unattractive brown/black color on Robeson razors before.
I really like that fiery red.
Koken was a large scale manufacturer of barber shop supplies. I have sat in many barber's chairs made by Koken.

Some real beauties on here. My grandad taught me how to shave with one. But can’t really sharpen it should have asked him that too. I picked up two Robeson’s recently at a small antique store. One marked premier so I guess from reading Charlie’s historical account it may be from late 1800’s That one has plain black handle that someone put a sticker on can anyone suggest what to clean it with?

I have gotten the sticker off but the shadow from where it was is obvious. Thanks Kevin

Get some MOTHER'S or simillar and polish the scales. It'll stink a bit most likely, but they should return to a nice black when all the oxidation is removed.
Will help the looks of blade to polish with the same.

Doesn't really matter. I've used BRASSO and MOTHER'S Mag and Aluminum polish with equally good results. Main thing is don't slice your finger when doing the blade. I lay the blades flat on and old towel on a hard surface and use several layers of polishing rag around my finger.
