its PROBABLY a Olcut , Union Cut. Co.,Vikeing or kabar (which is all the same) also could be a western states but probably isnt. The pull should be farther down the blade.

I posted the three Robeson Coke Bottles or Fiddle Backs, as that was what I thought Rig Welder was requesting.

As other patterns have been added, I'll further dilute the concentration of the soup.

They are all outstanding knives, but that stag handle one has to be rare.

You just don`t see too many old Robeson`s with Stag

I don't know if you mean the gnarly pebbled English stag or the other.

There was, however, a very nice stag handled version of the 872 on Ebay last week. Starting bid was $90.00. The knife looked about mint. Full blade w etch. One handle was somewhat plain, the other quite nice.

It did not get a single bid. Sign of the times, I guess.

Some of you have seen these before but there are new members showing up all the time.

This is the only one I have left. Don't know if it really qualifies as a folding hunter. I am only calling it that based on it's size and the shot shell pullers. Twelve inches long open with C.16 and C.12 pullers. Italian I think based on the stamp - AQUILA. Horn handles.

THAT BOLSTER LOCK ! DING DONG !

I took some pictures last night with my cell phone, hope the turn out. The Case trapper/hunter is not vintage and the Pumas are not folders, sorry!

I only have a couple. The one on the right is a Kabar 1184. The knife below that is a Schrade U.S.A. 250T. The Schrade was missing a handle on the opposite side when I bought it, so I made one out of corian. It turned out not bad but I think it looks better with the traditional Schrade colored handle. The corian I used is lighter in color, but was all I had on hand at the time. Both go with me in my elk pack. Dale
