Man, you guys are showing some really great old knives. My kinda wants. I think that KnifeGirl888 posted a J.S. Holler in another thread with some really great bolsters.

That poor little pearl had seen little use, but was rusted so bad I had to soak it a day before I even tried to open it. I got most of the rust off, but left the pits as they were....

all of the knives posted here are awesome, and would look great in my collection. dang wish i had the means and the knowhow to post some of my older beauts.. i love collecting jacks, especially the easy open kind...
steve, that 4th knife of yours from frary. is that the same frary from lander, frary n clark? if so, would you know if it was produced before, during or after their jointure? i have a few f,l&c knives..i would love to babysit that one

no tom, as a matter of fact i dont even have a camera, my old olympus is smart media and computers dont take that card anymore ,nor can you even buy one of those cards. i bought it off my bro from illinois yrs ago, the camera alone. so i dont have any attachments for it.. my son said he would get me started, but his family and jobs are keeping him quite busy...

Foster Bros,,Fulton New York Coke Bottle,,havent found any info,,but was told they made knives till 1899.
(Has ties to Hammer brand or New York knife,,due to haveing the Arm & hammer logo on the back of the tang)

Platts Bros. N.Y. New York,,Havent found any info,,but I would say from about 1905-1907 just because they moved alot in those two years.

Not really sure how rare or old but this Vulcan is I think both. From what I could find out Vulcan is a trademark used by T Ellin Co. of England. I may have already put up this picture, but cannot remember.

A couple older knives, I hope fits here. Top knife is a Thomaston Knife Co. Conn. 3". I
think it is a Dr. knife. Second knife is Lakeside Cutlery Co. 3 3/4" Montgomery Wards
sleeve board whittler all blades marked with blade etch. I would like to ask your opinion
on the little Thomaston, the bone is very dry would mineral oil be the thing to use?
Also if you have a old Wards catalog would you mind looking for the whittler as to date of
manufacture. Pics are poor I could not get the scans any better???

Not sure how rare it is, but I haven't seen any on here yet. And wouldn't have known what is was if it wasn't for this site. I need to take some better pics of it. It's an Arthur Wilzin.

I remember my Grandfather carrying this over 25yr ago and it looked old then (I think it was his Dad's). Paladin told me he hadn't seen
a sodbuster with the Fan Co stamp except this one, so it may be a little bit rare. Needs to be sent for a tune-up.

This one is old and fairly rare.

I'm going to say that one IS rare, I've only ever seen the fan stamp, never actually stamped "fan co". thats really cool

Here's a G.H. Richards pruner with big ol' thick stag handles. It has what I assume is an address "234 Borough S.E".....as well as the number "3" stamped on the back.

I have listed this on AAPK before, but no one could offer any info. Goin's doesn't list anything (at least that I could find). I am assuming this is a Sheffield knife from around 1900...plus or minus 20 years?

Just a guess but it might possibly be German and the address could be 234 Borgenstrasse;the word strasse being German for street.

looks English, Richards sounds English but I can't argue with k7k's assessment of the address

Here are a pair of very old folding harvesting knives................

The first is a Jonathan Crookes stag 4 inch Whittler and the other is a Wade & Butcher Stag Large Congress.
