I actually took that pic for all the spear blades. Kind of turned out it was mostly tear drop jacks.

Greedy, I have to agree with Charle, some of the nicest jigging I`ve seen on those knives....just a great collection...and yep...the old teardrop pattern is my fav too....I`ll try to dig a few out for pics.....and all of you other guys...i`m insanely jealous of yours too...I wonder if a man can possibly buy EVERY tear drop jack in the universe in one lifetime

Here's a couple or three Robesons.

These are probably posted elsewhere on this site. But, here they are again.

First, an ebony handled knife most likely produced for Millard Robeson in the Camillus, N.Y. factory of Sherwood & Bingham in the 1890's, prior to the establishment of the Robeson plant in Perry, N.Y. The knife is stamped, ROBESON / CUTLERY Co. / WARRANTED.

Second, an 029 swell-end or tear drop jack.

Third, a 382 swell-end or tear drop harness jack.

It's the swedge cut and spear blade. They just seem to go with that pattern (IMO, among others).

Wow, Tod. A German made Jowika and with bone handles. Looks very nice. I had a Ireland made Jowika utility knife and it was a shell handle, bottom shelf piece of crap so I just assumed they all were. Thanks for showing that one.

Great bunch of jacks fellas no matter if they're called swell-end, candle-end or teardrop!!! Slim.

I see this thread is a little dusty. Thought I'd show a couple I picked up this week. A camillus and Robeson.No pattern I like more than these.

Might as well throw this GEC 852211 into the mix. The handles are Red Stag.
