Mornin' all, my granson had me up bright and early today. I had to go wake the rooster. Barely got my first cup down, he was chompin' at the bit to go check the limb line we set before headin' up from the creek last evenin'. Here's the first cat of the year and his first limb line catch. It ain't a monster, but he thought it was. :D Still in his PJ's.

Yep, there ain't many things left in life that make me want to get outta bed before the suns up, but fishin'll still do it.
Gonna have us some catfish, fried taters with onion and scrambled eggs for breakfast. Cooked out on an open fire. That'll definetly call for another cup!
Boys, it's mornin's like these, that make life worth livin'! ::nod::

Putting the pot on in a few minutes, got to be at the polls to work at 0630 (old ARNG buddy running for district judge), going to electioneer for him today - coffee will help!

Top o' the mornin' to ya lads!
First cup long gone. For me, this thread should've been called "first pot"! :D
Gonna be finishin' up a small set of cabinets for a customer down in Ft. Smith today. They tell me, Ft. Smith has some of the finest flea markets, pawn shops and antique stores in the midwest. Especially for knives. ::woot:: Maybe I can pick me up one or two while i'm down there doin' the install. ::groove::

Ya'll have an excellent day!

I have finished my first cup, mug actually, and I am going to hit the head for you know what and a shower. I have an appointment to show some knives today so it is already a good day.

Drinkin' coffee at 3:30 in the mornin', Scott?! Good golly boy, you must go to bed right after the 6:00 evenin' news! Oh well, you right coast fellers do loose the sun a might earlier then the rest of us, I reckon. Come to think about it, ya'll get it back just a might earlier too, huh? :D
I was thinkin' about headin' down to Ft. Smith today, but havn't decided yet. Kinda fonchin' at the bit to go down and take in those knifein' spots I keep herein' about, but with mothers day weekend, I may wait 'til early next week.
Anyway, i'm on about my 3rd cup and it's gonna take a couple more before I can start makin' big decisions like that.

Have a good one,

Ok guys, i'm gonna stretch out my neck and look a little stupid i'm sure. But, I just gotta ask, what exactly is a coydog? There ain't nuthin' here in the Ozarks that goes by that name! I could rattle off a thousand different critters that roam these woods, but ya'll got me on what a coydog is! ::shrug::

Ahhh...ok! We call 'em Wylies here. My German Shorthair likes to howl along with 'em every night. I don't know why he wants to join in, they play heck with the quail he's supposed to be pointin'. Stupid dog! :x
Lesson learned, thanks Jerry!

WB58;We have such a problem with coydog up here when I birdhunt with my Springer they will pack up and follow us,a pack of coydog will run down a healthy Buck,we allways carry a sidearm when sno-mobleing,icefishing or wheeling just to get a shot at one.

Yah buddy, they're thick as fleas here too! No natural enemies, other then man. Every night you can here 'em out on the back 40. A line forms at one end and they run the prey up to another bunch at the other end. They're not stupid animals.
Alot of the local ranchers run donkeys with their cattle herds. Donkeys will kick and stomp the daylights out of wylies if they get too close to the calves in a herd. I've seen 'em do it and it's pretty funny actually.
