Here is a mixed bag; a Marbles I bought at SMKW in AUG 03, a knife my buddy Tom Morris made for me from junk steel out of an ancient saw blade, Western Black Beauty my folks gave me for Christmas in 1966, and a Western I bought in the mid-1990's when gut-hook knifes were all the rage (cleaned one deer with it and put it away). OH

Jerry:It's a pre-1964 one and the way I acquired it is kind of interesting.BTW it does have it's original sheath and wooden box although the green sponge lining has long deteriorated.

I was scanning a trader paper for guns and knives and came across an ad for a Colt Trooper(Model 28) for sale for $250.Along with the Trooper the seller had noted that a Puma knife went along with the deal.
I called and made arrangements to see the items.The Trooper was an old State Police weapon with holster and in reasonable shape.The Puma was still in the box and looked to have never been used or sharpened! I bought them without dickering on the price and he even threw in an old bolt action .22 rifle as well!
Long story short: I sold the Trooper for $250 to a friend and gave the .22 to another friend for his 12 year old son so the Puma was essentially FREE!
Sadly some moisture somehow got into one of my knife boxes and the Puma has a rust spot on the blade about the size of a dime. Still a nice knife though. I'll post a few more shortly.

Here are a few customs:

FRP(?)short skinner.No idea who made it.Solid brass scales.
George Cousino hunter;a gift from my kids for Christmas.George is about 15 mi.from here.
3 fixed blades by someone named McGrann.Blades appear to be commercial(faint maker marks)with custom handles attached.
4 knives by friend and knifemaker Tom McLuin.These are real early knives by him.I also have his 1st friction folder.He makes mostly automatics now but has cut way down.
A miniature fighter by Jim Turecek of Derby CT.Even the stag is to scale and the blade has a spring loaded latch.
An early Ralph Bone boot knife.The sheath is by a Texas saddle maker.
A Randall Model 7-5.
A Walsh dagger with ivory handle and unusual cutouts in the blade.
A pair of Bill Zalesky (CT) knives with Micarta scales and O1 steel.
