Some great looking pistols guys!

I had a Hammerli Trailside made by Sig that was a very accurate pistol, but sold it and went with my Kimber.

Here's an old .22 that is about 62 or 63 years old. It was born 3 or 4 years after I came into this world. I remember this pistol as a very young boy. It belonged to my uncle and he carried it while we went for walks in the woods. He kept a rat shot in the chamber for snakes and as I recall it would not eject a fired shot shell. It did fine with regular .22s. Unkie passed away in 1980 and I inherited the High Standard model GB. The holster was made by Brauer Bro's MFG. Co. St.Louis and apparently came with the pistol when it was new. Hasn't see too much use but is pleasure to shoot. Treefarmer

What .22 ammo do you prefer to shoot?
I have been using CCI and Winchester Target 22 and some bulk Remington for plinking.

I had a Hammerli Trailside and traded it, looking to buy another one when I can find one local.
Great shooter and reasonable price.

I hear obama and hillary are going to start collecting them.

Anyone here tried the Browning 1911-22? Saw one at the gun store and it sure looks nice.

I owned a Browning Buckmark and it was a great shooting pistol, I haven't shot the 1911-22 yet but hear its making a good showing. The price is $530 or more pending where you shop.
I still like my Sig 1911-22 for the price and accuracy as well as the sights.

Just looked at a new Kimber .22 target pistol 5.5" and it is a real beauty!
The price ranges $1075 to $1175 pending on where ou shop.

I think my Kimber .22 is just as good if not better.....used are selling for $600 to $750 if you can find them.

Here's a Ruger Bearcat that I traded for in the mid '60's as a teenager. The guy I got it from had shot a squirrel and had jumped up to get the tree rat and ended up shooting himself in the thigh somehow? Got a good deal on this one! Hadn't been shot lately but over the last almost 50 years it has has burned up many rounds. Treefarmer

This old H&R Trapper was given to me by my dad when I was 12 or 13 years old. We lived in Orlando and he flew to Colorado to visit his mother, my grandmother. She had kept my dad's pistol in an oiled rag since he left home for the Army during WW2. He brought it back to Florida and gave it to me in 1958 or '59. Trigger pull is about 10 lbs. and hard to shoot but it made a young boy mighty happy back then. This revolver has a 7 shot cyl., a 5 1/2" octagon bbl. and the cyl. does not swing out and is removed by removing the rod it pivots on in the frame. One thing for sure, it's not a target pistol by an means!

Treefarmer, that Trapper is fabulous. Heavy trigger pull = less accidental discharges on the line.

A few...
I've got an early 90's Heritage revolver that was abused something awful until I bought it. Its now the most accurate handgun I shoot - go figure. Being a nine shot fan i've got an HR 929 and my coolest gun is an HR 949 or "Forty-Niner". Looks like its a single action army but actually is double action and it holds the top shelf in my toy box.

I've got an NAA 22 magnum for daily use but the wife prefers her Beretta Neos.

Please post some pictures of your .22 Heritage 9 shot, I think I had the same one.
Great shooting guns...

Just tried the Browning 1911-22, good shooting but the frame is small and priced a bit high because of the Browning name.
I think I like the Colt goldcup 1911-22 and government model better, better fit and cost is much easier on the wallet.

Just scored this Browning 1911-22. My wife and I shoot together and this 7/8 scale 1911 is just too cool!!
Price may be higher than other 1911 .22LR's, but is inline with thier other pistols and the price wll be long
forgotten before it's even broke in.
